Moses

Is it just me or does everyone get the feeling that when a line break is made against us with Moses the last line of defence, we will concede a try?

The kid is 19 and playing out of position,he is far from the biggest problem.

Think there's merit in him playing 5/8 in NSW Cup the rest of the year, may be better for his development at his age than playing out the rest of this season out of position.

He has heart and competitiveness so I fancy him as the last line to make a tackle, his lack of size and playing out of his position aren't helping him.

How many games of NRL has he played again ??

He was in a side that got beaten by heaps and has probably never seen anything like that before in his career

Many blokes with more experience played just as bad on Saturday

As a defender he is on a par with Moltzen…. zero.

Not a Leeds or teddy.

After all the media hype hes just a 20s player.

Wouldn't mind trying Austin at FB played well against Raiders and giving Moses go at 5/8\. We need something in attack.

Rowe in FB was just as bad and he is a fulltime fullback. Moses is out of position and 20kgs lighter than whats required for 1st grade IMO. They should let him finish off the year in NSW cup to develope and get him ready for next year.

Moses doesn't like playing fullback. His a 5/8 just play him in his position.
Not a fan of Austin or Rowe at fullback but Moses needs to play in the halves for the next 4 games along side his mate Brooks and lets get ready for next year.

Agree. Lets stop playing people out of position.

When's Moltzen back? 2017?

Moltzen has played last 2 weeks in NSW cup,he will likely play NRL this week with all our injuries.

I honestly think moses needs to either be left at fullback or put in NSW cup. He simply doesn't have the frame to defend in the front line yet and the last thing we need is another benji marshall situation with one major injury destroying the first 2-3 years of his career.

Moltzen didn't play last weekend "injured"

People laughed when I and a hand full of others said, slot him straight into 5/8th, now some want the switch. Why now, what the [This word has been automatically removed] for, the horse has bolted. I love the opinion going around before that he's safer at fullback. You guys have no clue, more damage has been done to him from back there, playing in the halves he could have done a Benji or Soward in defence, but nup majority rules, well majority are wrong. He can get practice next year, in the season proper. His teaming up with Brooks would have helped us enormously, and Austin felt comfortable at fullback which would have suit his game as well.

LOL at those saying he needs to put on 20kg to play first grade. He's only 4-5 KGs behind the likes of Slater and Smith you realise…!

But yes of course he does need to put on a bit more muscle and fill out a bit... He's still only a kid!

Ok his goal line defence is fairly poor right now. On the other hand, if he had a back line with any sort of quality/instinct for attacking play we may have scored a bucket load more points. He keeps passing the ball to where he expects players to be, having played with finishers in NYC and NSW Cup. Now he's in seniors and suddenly finds himself with the least skilful back lines he's probably ever played in over the past 5 years!

Sometimes he might overplay his hand, but a lot of the time our back line is so flat that it makes it practically impossible for a playmaker to throw them a cutout ball!

Its no experiment
Its experience, junior development, trying to give him experience yet protection at the same time…there is reasoning behind it.
Let him miss all the tackles this year if it helps him for next year, this years gone

How did you come to the conclusion it was an experiment putting Moses at fullback littletiger?

He has played fullback, half back and five- eigth in lower grades.

I know that Moltzen had his faults but his one on one defence wasn't one of them. He often brought down much bigger men than he is, as the last line of defence.

As for Mitchell Moses, he may well get less of a battering defending one in from the wing if he were to be moved to 5/8 but I'm happy for Potter to make the best call for his development.

That's because 99 % if the times we do… Just shows how good Teddy's defence was
