LOL at those saying he needs to put on 20kg to play first grade. He's only 4-5 KGs behind the likes of Slater and Smith you realise…!
But yes of course he does need to put on a bit more muscle and fill out a bit... He's still only a kid!
Ok his goal line defence is fairly poor right now. On the other hand, if he had a back line with any sort of quality/instinct for attacking play we may have scored a bucket load more points. He keeps passing the ball to where he expects players to be, having played with finishers in NYC and NSW Cup. Now he's in seniors and suddenly finds himself with the least skilful back lines he's probably ever played in over the past 5 years!
Sometimes he might overplay his hand, but a lot of the time our back line is so flat that it makes it practically impossible for a playmaker to throw them a cutout ball!
Agreed, Moses in NSW CUP earlier in the year would throw these passes out to Marika who put them all over the try line, some even 20 out from our try line which made a certain NRL coach (Graig Bellamy) take notice and snap Koroibete up!! LOL Now he's got snails and forwards outside of him who play flat because they don't have the speed to play deep!
So are you guys suggesting Moses is unable to look for a ball runner and deliver a pass? It's up to him to find the runners. If they are out of position dont pass it. It was the same problem Benji had, combined with refusing to take a tackle.
IMO it is more due to the fact he is playin against defence that doesn't allow him time that he is used to from lower grades.
Having said that we have seen how much talent he has. We also have seen how much he has to learn. He will continue to make mistakes, just as long as he learns from them.
