Is it just me or does everyone get the feeling that when a line break is made against us with Moses the last line of defence, we will concede a try?

That's because 99 % if the times we do… Just shows how good Teddy's defence was

No it shows Moses is still a boy. He needs to build his body before he is ready for the men.

ITS THE SHOES!!! Why does he keep slipping?

It is so bloody frustrating watching our players slip. Idk why it irks me so much.

Its no experiment
Its experience, junior development, trying to give him experience yet protection at the same time…there is reasoning behind it.
Let him miss all the tackles this year if it helps him for next year, this years gone

x1000.

Also Im glad Brooks hasnt been playing with his shoulder issue. As good as he is for his age we dont need our most talented young commodities joining the long injury list.

LOL at those saying he needs to put on 20kg to play first grade. He's only 4-5 KGs behind the likes of Slater and Smith you realise…!

But yes of course he does need to put on a bit more muscle and fill out a bit... He's still only a kid!

Ok his goal line defence is fairly poor right now. On the other hand, if he had a back line with any sort of quality/instinct for attacking play we may have scored a bucket load more points. He keeps passing the ball to where he expects players to be, having played with finishers in NYC and NSW Cup. Now he's in seniors and suddenly finds himself with the least skilful back lines he's probably ever played in over the past 5 years!

Sometimes he might overplay his hand, but a lot of the time our back line is so flat that it makes it practically impossible for a playmaker to throw them a cutout ball!

Agreed, Moses in NSW CUP earlier in the year would throw these passes out to Marika who put them all over the try line, some even 20 out from our try line which made a certain NRL coach (Graig Bellamy) take notice and snap Koroibete up!! LOL Now he's got snails and forwards outside of him who play flat because they don't have the speed to play deep!

LOL it laso highlights how non-existant our front line defence is at the moment!

So are you guys suggesting Moses is unable to look for a ball runner and deliver a pass? It's up to him to find the runners. If they are out of position dont pass it. It was the same problem Benji had, combined with refusing to take a tackle.
IMO it is more due to the fact he is playin against defence that doesn't allow him time that he is used to from lower grades.

Having said that we have seen how much talent he has. We also have seen how much he has to learn. He will continue to make mistakes, just as long as he learns from them.

Yup that's what i'm saying. You can take the rush defence out of it by playing deep and kicking behind them which we've seen him do in the lower grades with great effect. When he won the man of the match against the Doggies our backline was deep which allowed him to chime in out the back and hit Lulia on the chest for how many tries again?? IMO We're just too flat in attack atm with no real finishers that Moses is seeing plays well ahead of the rest of our backline. But he's learning.
