Most memorable loss

What was the most memorable loss in your opinion?

For me it was 2011 Finals Week 2: Wests Tigers V Warriors

Think about this game often was a great season and the thing is we did the same to the warriors earlier in the season.

Final vs Roosters in 2010.

By far. That was gut wrenching.

It did hurt at the time but we got a 2nd bite of the cherry .

For me the one that hurts the most is as the Original Post vs the Warriors in the semis….i still have flashbacks of Farah running it on the last with 3 minutes to go when kicking to the corner was the play required .

I block the losses out of my mind. There are large chuncks of my life missing!

Warriors loss

Kristian Inu knocked on in the contest.

That's all I'm going to say about that final in 2011.

And yes thats the one for me.

Does it have to be Wests Tigers related only?

I didn't really say it had to be, out side of the tigers it would be the 2008 world cup final. I was sitting 10m away when Slater threw the ball back in and it got intercepted. :brick:

Losing to the Queens in the 2010 prelim final was hard. Especially considering Tuquri getting kneed in the back deliberately by Jeremy Smith warranted a penalty, not sure if we were in kicking range to put us in front.
The Queens were virtually gifted a premiership that year, with a few dodgy calls going their way vs WT and then that horrendous decision in the GF to allow that Brett Morris pass when he was nearly a metre over the sideline. That was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen.

My most memorable and painful loss is the 1989 grand final

warriors.

For a long time, there wasn't a day I didn't think about that one.

That end of season game vs Parra in '09 when Hayne pulled that chip kick outta his blurter and got a dream bounce to sink us.
Was also the tragic night of Tuiaki's career ending injury.
A shattering night.

That was a shocker.
Tragic.

Hard to go past 89 Grand Final as Balmain supporter.

I agree that the Roosters and Warriors losses were tough. The Dragons loss wasn't much better. Beau only had to pass/chip it inside for a winning try. **These 3 losses stick out because they are the only finals losses we WT have EVER had!**

For me 2004 round 26 v the knights. A group of us drove up the freeway all excited that a win would put us in the 8 for the first time ever. Bronson Harrison scored early and all is tigers were excited before the knights ran out winners. The drive back was sober as we listened to around the grounds hoping for results to fall our way the rabbits had to beat the raiders for us to get in and another result had to go out way. The raiders smashed them by 50ish. That trip was memorable and we talk about that loss every now and again. Made the run in 05 really sweet

I thought there was another year post 2005 when the Knights knocked up out of finals contention, right?

07 or 08 maybe?
