I'm going to see Sherlock Holmes tomorrow. Anyone here watched it yet?

Is it good??? I haven't seen it.

Yeah it was good. Not the type of movie I would usually watch, I wasn't overly fussed with it, but still enjoyed it.

I saw 'Did you hear about the Morgans' the other day too, and was a little dissapointed. It did have some funny scenes, but it wasn't as funny as the preview suggested.

Avatar now has a place in my top 5 films that I've seen. Nothing remarkable about the story but James Cameron sure knows how to spend the studios money well. Unbelievable special effects although I reckon the best space gun he came up with was the classic pulse rifle the Marines used in Aliens.

Finally got around to watching Public Enemies and am hugely disappointed.

Director Michael Mann - who is responsible for great storytelling epics like Last of the Mohicans, The Insider, Heat Collateral and Miami Vice has just fully dropped the ball on this one.

When your given the subject matter of the true story of outlaw John Dillinger as well as some other prominent gangsters - as opposed to the rise and rise of the FBI - specifically put together to catch John, then your given the services of Christian Bale and Johnny Depp as the leads you should be able to put together a riveting action/crime/drama.

Well he somehow stuffed it all up as what he has come up with is a two+ hour borefest.

The story is lost amongst the endless subplots and scenes with no prior information as to what they are even about.

John Dillinger and the Melvin Purvis are so one dimensional that you dont really care about either of them and that is such a shame because I'll bet that in real life they were both fascinating people.

If it wasn't for some of the performances I would give this movie less than a 4/10.

Avatar was awesome. Seen nothing like it. A real experience.

The Lovely Bones was solid but a little further out there than I thought.

Whip It I found to be entertaining too. Something a little different from Drew Barrymorre.

Yes I have and I enjoyed it.

I like the trippy movies like that. Sone of my favourites are Butterfly Effect, Phone Booth and Final Destination.

I took the family to see Tooth Fairy and that new Chipmunks one. They were great too, the children loved it.

The Rock should have stayed in Wrestling

It's already been rated as possibly the worst film to be released this year. The big fella needs to stay away from the kid flicks and get back to doing some serious action films.

Visually Avatar was amazing but I wouldn't class it as a great movie.

I found the plot as a catalyst for the effects and as a story it wouldn't hold up without the mind blowing effects

He needs to come back to the WWE.

avatar - falls short of bladerunner but an epic in its own right. Oscar for best film in 2010\. James Cameron you did it again and now have surpassed your other blockbuster Titanic in box office records.

Man, Avatar is a massive achievement in terms of box office success and special effects, I enjoyed it but it was far from the most satisfying film experience I've ever had. Or this past year even. Best film of the year, not for me. District 9 was better than Avatar IMO. Up was waaaaay better than Avatar. But in the end, The Hurt Locker = best pic of the year for me.

I'd really like to see The Hurt Locker. Kathryn Bigelow is up for best director for that film.

Denzel Washington's latest movie

Seen two recently

Angels and Demons -
If you hated the Da Vinci Code then don't bother with this as the characters and formula are both very similar.
However I found this to be a slightly stronger movie in most aspects. It's darker and to me had more interesting material (not all of which is fantasically fictional). Overall it was an enjoyable ride with a plot twist at the end that was well done but ultimately nothing memorable. 5.5/10

Zombieland -
Mindless and boring. I love zombie flicks but this was not funny, had no real meat (zombie guts flying about),no storyline and would not scare a 2 year old. Don't waste your time. 1/10
