This film does not come out until February next year, and while it's another US action film displaying patriotism, what makes it interesting and sets it apart from other action films, is that the stars are actually real life Navy Seals:

Looks to be beautifully shot and the action scenes definitely look accurate.

Will be keeping an eye out for this one, looks good.

That looks like real quality.

Caught the Inbetweeners Movie last night. The setup isn't particularly clever, but its still a barrel of laughs.. like a 90 minute episode of the TV show, which is a good thing.. some jokes miss the mark but overall it was pretty consistent with the chuckles. Some scenes made me laugh harder than any other flick this year. Very crude, definitely not for the kiddies. Also, a lot of full frontal male nudity, if you're into that kind of thing.

Thanks for the update Demps been wanting to catch that movie for a while. Has anyone checked out "warrior" yet. Looks pretty bloody good from the ads, just haven't had the time off work to see it?

The first preview for Snow White and the Huntsman looks ok:

This film was made a couple of years ago but due to the original distributor going bankrupt, it's only just seeing the light of day now:

To those on here that view extreme cinema, I have finally seen the uncut version of the very nasty A Serbian Film.

I first heard about it at the years start and it has taken a long time to see the full version as the director intended. All I can say is holy s###!!!!! This is the very limit of what can be put to film. It doesnt just cross the line - it obliterates it. This version has been banned globally and for a damned good reason. It has some of the most rugged scenes ever within it and 2 in particular that defy the boundaries of disgracefulness. I was teasing Alien a few months ago about the human centipede, saying that it wasnt that bad. This movie is the reason I said that. The human centipede is a pg standard film by comparison.

Having said that, it is a well made and acted movie and for what it is supposed to be, it ticks all boxes that it promises. The producers are not lying, unlike the over rated American horror films like Hostel and Saw which were VERY tame and did not at all deliver what they promised this one has the balls to back up their marketing. It is disgusting, vile, repugnant and essentially not a bad effort. I have seen so called 'disturbing' movies that were funny as they were so over the top with blood and crap flying everywhere….not this one. It is the real deal.

As one reviewer i like stated, "I admire and detest it at the same time and I will never watch it again. Ever." I agree with him. Watch it if you dare but only if you are into adult horror.

Now I'm off to watch Finding Nemo and drink a bottle of whiskey.....

The second preview for Battleship can be viewed here:

Definite similarities to Transformers given the idea has come from Hasbro, but seeing the battleships in full flight looks pretty sweet.

Went and saw M:I:4 last night at imax, which for mine was the most fun and exciting action flick of the year, by quite a long margin. Some terrific set pieces that take full advantage of the imax format, especially the much hyped scenes at the Durj. Likeable cast, plenty of humour, Simon Pegg brings the funny.. the villain of the piece is a little soft but it's no biggie.

Sidebar, if you're going along to imax specifically for the Dark Knight Rises prologue, I'd wait a few days, the sound on the print at imax DH is completely f#@%*d beyond any recognition. I couldn't make out any of the dialogue and the music & effects were just a hollow mess.. it LOOKED incredible though. They're supposed to have it fixed in a couple of days. Or if you're keen you could just search for that bootleg-cam thats floating around the net which has clean audio but only 1/3 of the screen

Every person I've spoken to who has seen it has pretty much commented along the same lines as you Stryker, and some of my mates are the kind of people that aren't easily offended or disgusted. You know it's bad when the reviewer from Horror fan site bloody disgusting says "you can never get the images out of your mind" and "this is a film you should never watch".
I'm still contemplating whether to watch this.

I wont tell you to watch it AJ*, but I will say that it is a well made film that does have a plot. That is something different for this genre, usually they are chaotic type films that are hard to take seriously. There is something else to the film as well…as long as you can get passed the totally insane visuals. The characters are quite well developed as well, especially the protagonist and his family. You do care about their fate. Milos, the father takes a trip into hell and you find yourself really routing for him to make it back.

As for the story line, it is quite good - a retired porn star returns to the business for a one off film with a huge payday. He is unaware however of the type of film he will be 'starring' in. His position doesnt go from bad to worse...it goes from bad to absolutely f'ing horrible and then some. There are some very strong scenes of extreme violence that take place whilst breaking almost every taboo that society holds dear. You name it, it is in this film.

It is quite an achievement to have the balls to make something that you know will offend almost the whole population of the planet yet you do so and promote and argue for it to be fairly treated. Thats exactly what the makers of this movie do and they are quite passionate about it. They have claimed that A Serbian Film is a big 'up yours' to the government who is trying to censor their existence after decades of war and bloodshed - 'so if thats the way you want to play it then we'll make something so insanely horrible that the world will notice it.' To that you have to say bravo....mission accomplished.

At the end of the day it is hard to rate a film like this as it punches you in the guts so hard that you really should hate it ....but it is so well made and acted and the story operates in an aire of reality that is so believable that it shouldnt just be dismissed as exploitation garbage. It is definetly better than average, but you really cant rate it higher than a 7 due to its shocking content. If the visuals werent so powerful, it would be a 9 but thats not what the people who made it wanted.

I am a hardened viewer of these types of films as I like to push my own boundaries and see what I can take. This is the limit, if there is something out there that tops this I dont want to see it. It certainly disturbed me but it didnt make me feel sick...it is more psychological...and to me thats always far worse.

Let us know if you watch it mate, I have spoken to other people who have seen it on forums and most dont like it - and your not supposed to, but it does have something about it that is a bit fascinating.

Will do mate. I might watch it over the Christmas break, I heard Broadway Blockbuster actually has a copy of it but it would probably be an edited version.

Yeah AJ, A Serbian Film had a storied release here in Aus, it was resubmitted for classification three times I think. The version that was eventually released here runs about 95 minutes, the original is 99\. It doesn't lose any of the dramatic impact but a lot of the more explicit shots have been removed.

But yeah, as Stryker already outlined.. 99.99999999999999999999% of people should stay away from this movie  . You won't enjoy it, I'd argue anybody who does has serious problems, but it does have some merit, artistic or otherwise.

Watched it today and yep, it's depraved in every way.

Onto more exciting things though, here is the first trailer for the new Batman film:

Guys this film you are talking about "Serbian Film " was speaking to a staff member today about it and if what he told me is true I really think even talking about it on the Forum is going a bit over the top

If promoting or discussing this on the Forum is in anyway tasteful then I'm a monkeys uncle

IMO anyone with an ounce of morality should stay away from this film and seeing there are young people on this Forum even bringing it up is irresponsible on all of their and our behalf's

Just my opinion of course
