If you wanna see some awesome martial arts in a film, check out the Ong Bak trilogy. All stunts were done by the lead actor himself. Apparently he broke plenty of blokes bones during the filming and they constantly had to get replacements.

Saw The Hunger Games today. Not a bad film, but not jaw dropping. The acting and performances were all decent and a sequel is guaranteed provided it makes enough money.

Off to see The Raid next week, that should be an awesome action film.

my daughter and friends went and watched the HUNGER GAMES last night ,they loved it. my daughter has also read the books

Willow the hunger games….

Is it worthwhile? It seems to be a very 'adult' story that is aimed at tweens. That to me spells disaster as it will be watered down too much.

It wasn't bad. The audience I was in was a mixture of ages, teens, adults and a few people who looked to be around 50\. There's plenty of deaths in it, but it's not graphic violence, rather a lot of fast editing and bodies lying motionless. So yeah, it is watered down a bit, but the story is aimed more at the younger adult demographic. It was worth seeing, but it's not something I would buy on blu-ray.

21 Jump Street was surprisingly good. And I found Channing Tatum surprisingly funny, he and Jonah Hill worked well together.

I found 21 Jump Street absolutely hilarious! I went in not expecting too much, but it had me in stitches from start to finish.

Apparently Jonah Hill had to convince Channing Tatum he was funny and to do the movie with him. First movie I really enjoyed with him in it.

Deffinately something I'll be adding to my DVD collection.

I saw The Raid down in Canberra during the week and I must say for a film that cost about $1million to make, it was sensational. The action scenes were so full of energy and well shot and the hero is believeable, he just wants to make it out of there alive to see his family again. No surprise that Hollywood is planning a western remake of it.

Any action fans out there should definitely check this out.

Yeah Willow, I caught that one as well mate. It was incredible. The set pieces are stunning. The action is right in your face and relentless. I love that Indo fighting style and in that setting (hallways, small rooms etc…) it was perfect. Apparently a sequel is in the works.

Monkey, I have read a few books on the snowtown murders and thought the film was a good interpretation of what happened.

It was appropriately bleak as the perps are evil men. Amazingly vicious story.

I saw the shorts for "Ted" today… Seth McFarlane has made this movie... All I can say is visit the shorts at the following link... I will be watching it on opening night.

Saw Battleship last weekend. It's basically feels like Transformers on water, minus the robots changing shape. Light on plot, tacky acting at times and plenty of action. It was enjoyable enough but I think it will be blown out of the water when The Avengers starts next week.

seen some promo's for "RAVEN" the new John Cusack movie. Looks o.k. The Avengers looks heaps good, going to that for sure. 100km round trip for me to go to the movies so the movie needs to be good.

Watched gran Torino for the 2nd time on nine after the footy. Fantastic movie, brought a man tear to my eye

Saw The Avengers in 3D, Gold Class today. Wow, what a film this was! Brilliant action and effects, some great moments for all the main cast members, and it was easily the best superhero movie I have seen. Recommend it for everyone.

Next on the list to see will be Act of Valor which kicks off next week.

Yeah I saw the Avengers today as well, it was awesome to say the least. Great script from Joss Whedon, all the Avengers got their moments to shine.

Also, if you're going to see it, stay until after the cast credits, there is a bit extra to watch.

Hope they make a sequel. Iron Man 3 starts production in a couple of months, with Thor 2 to follow. Hopefully in a couple of years they get everyone back for Avengers 2.
