Yeah I saw the Avengers today as well, it was awesome to say the least. Great script from Joss Whedon, all the Avengers got their moments to shine.

Also, if you're going to see it, stay until after the cast credits, there is a bit extra to watch.

Hope they make a sequel. Iron Man 3 starts production in a couple of months, with Thor 2 to follow. Hopefully in a couple of years they get everyone back for Avengers 2.

Same, they've set it up for a 2nd one, hopefully they can get Joss Whedon onto starting a screen play soon. He's a big Marvel fan, so I'd imagine he'd be on it once given the green light.

Cap 2 is slated for release in 2014 as well. Yeah Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 will be out next year.

Saw the hunger games.
I have to say this film is a massive overachiever. It has an alright storyline - albeit one we have seen a number of times before - and the acting is decent.

BUT it is the direction and cinematography. They are both woefully inept. I have never seen a blockbuster filmed so poorly. I am not just talking about the shakey camera either, which is disgracefully over used…literally half of this film is out of focus! What an embarrassingly amatureistic effort this is. I found it bordering on un-watchable. Apparently the director has been sacked for the sequels. I bet the fans are happy about that as he has done his best to ruin this movie. If it wasnt for the fact that this story is part of hugely popular book series aimed at the stupidest demographic on the planet, i.e. those responsible for Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Twilight and One Direction, then it would surely have tanked. The worst part is it didnt and has made over half a billion dollars...and there are three more to come.....I shant be finishing the series. It really was that bad.

As a true lover of comics ( grew up on them ) can add to the praise for The Avengers movie.
Well written , well acted and great effects - up there with the best super hero movies.
Wish they made them all this good - and really like the new Hulk.
(PS Why did my mother have to throw my thousands of comics from the 60's out after I left home - including Spidey No.1)

That stings worth a bit of money these days. I started collecting late in the game (early 90's), so I still have mine.

Had a laugh with my mum about it the other day.
I started buying and collecting in 1964 - so you can imagine all the early editions beside Spiderman.
Had X-Men , Thor , Hulk , Fantastic 4 …. it hurts to think of them all
Never really into DC , always preferred Marvel - although didn't mind Flash, Green Lantern and the Bizarro stuff .
Plenty more superheros they haven't done movies for yet!

Pretty sure a Deadpool movie with Ryan Reynolds is in the works.

Hope you're wrong about Reynolds - couldn't take to him as Green Lantern.
Would be unusual to play two different super heroes.
Don't know too much re Deadpool - am old school comics (because I'm old  )

Yep I prefer Marvel as well. I mostly have Spidey and X-Men comics, but have a few Avengers, Thor, Hulk, Fan 4, Punisher and Daredevil.

Only DC guys I like are Batman, Supes and maybe the Flash.

So did your Mum actually bin them or gave them away? heh I'm crying just thinking about it, I feel for your loss

Saw Act Of Valor today. I must say, for a bunch of Navy Seals who have no real acting experience behind them, they do a better job than the cast of Battleship, which while entertaining was ultimately cheezy due to the script.

Act Of Valor storywise was not brilliant, but it works due to the authenticity and execution of the action scenes which are brilliant. The acting is passable and overall it's a very, very well made film considering it had a budget of about $15million, it plays out like a much more expensive film.

Watched Prometheus yesterday and overall I liked it, but it wasn't as good as what I was hoping for. The first 20 and final 20 minutes are quite focused and answers a lot of questions, particularly in regards to alien, but the middle stanza of the film is a bit disjointed and seemed to be edited quite quickly. The film also leaves a few open ended questions and there is potential for another film separate to alien. I'm hoping for a Director's cut to be released on Blu-ray to see all the additional footage Scott had to cut.

I know I've already said this, but I am keen for Ted to come to our shores. God that looks hilarious.

Anyone else looking forward to it?

Just read that a movie about the Chris Benoit murder-suicide is in the works. That movie would be interesting to say the very least

i saw snow white and the huntsman last night (it was her turn to choose). it was awful

Hard to imagine how it could be good when you have 2 pathetic leads (chick from twilight, dude from thor) and it involves snow white leading an army.

I'm also keen to see Ted CB, but if there was one movie that I'm well and truly hanging out for it would be The Dark Knight Rises.

Looks absolutely awesome!

One another note, has anyone seen the trailer for The Campaign? Looks hilarious!
