Mullaney what's the problem

Not attending reggie games can some one explain why Mullaney is not getting a look in to the NRL ..is it he has not come on defensivly or his general game or is it the Sheens sydrome not rated and never to be seen again .I am interseted as his name crops up and we all seen his 20's achievements seems odd he has disappeared.

He makes Matt Utai look like Dane Tilse?

He makes Brett Hodgson look like George Rose?

He makes Robert Lui look like Bryce Gibbs?

Just sayin….

When you look at a players like Ben Barba the dogs took quite a few years to develop his body.

He was always a great attacking player however his body was not up to the rigours of NRL

Perhaps Mullaney is a similar project. If he is not physically ready it could do more worse than good to play him at this stage.

Still massive question marks on his defensive ability and whether he'd be up to it physically.

I thought when they started playing him at five eight that they might of been trying to work on his defence to see if he could make the step up . Really confused about many of our plans for 2012 . When it is all said and done I wonder how many of us will be happy in 2012 with our line up

You can be sure of one thing …. when ellis was left standing like a shag on a rock screaming for support mullaney would have been there, that is strength, following the runners thru the ruck, look how many tries he racked up in U20s doing that.

Sorry Willow that is rubbish. He would be ok. If he plays last week he would have had a least 2 tries by following Ellis. The best in the club at sniffing out a try. Another Lamb.

However I fear that Sheens will send him on his was as he did with Lazarus. Of course we do not know what he is like at training, his behaviour off the field etc. There has been no reports of any problems with him, so it looks like the Sheens dislike syndrome has struck again.

We will see how he treats Tedesco.

Col He may get his chance next year but at the moment Wade Mac is option 1 . Why destroy the bloke if he is not ready yet . If he was the best option at the moment do you think that Sheens would not play him

Not sure Sheens would agree. I believe we will see Tedesco in FG before Mullaney.

I agree with you. But it will not be because of his defence or size. If Sheens does not like you then you have no chance. It will be the crucifixion of Lazarus all over again.

At 17 I wouldn't exactly say Tedesco is tiny. People develop and fill out at different rates, he has only come out of S.G Ball this year. Give him a full off season with grown men and then lay judgement. From what I saw he doesn't have a small build

Nowhere near ready for First Grade, i'd leave him in Toyota Cup next year as well unless his form just can't be refused and we have no fullback of note halfway through next season

Tedesco is rate highly but won't be rushed, he's only 17 and has a bit of growing still to do. All the signs are there though, great instincts at the back, good support play, good speed. Give him a couple of years and we'll see him in FG IMO.

Tedesco is tiny but. Much smaller than Karmichael Hunt at 17\. Mullaney should be in 1st grade now. Its a joke.

Well if Mullaney knew how to tackle he would be..But he can't..so he aint.

Tedesco isn't tiny his bigger faster stronger and taller than Mullaney and his 3 years younger.

Anyhow doesn't matter we are getting Josh Duggan…Mullaney is going to St.George and Tedesco is going to Penrith in 2013.

Yes, but if you have watched any U20's matches, you will know that defence is not the strong point of this competition. Whereas, he may do some brilliant things in attack in U20's, I doubt this automatically translates into what he could achieve in the NRL.

Too true, mighty maggie, I suppose the last thing we need is another defensive liability.
