No doubt there is alot of upside with the kids coming through.
Just look at our nrl team - Laurie, AD, Stefano have been our best performers most of the year. Add in some nice glimpses from Cini, Simpkin, Blore, TT and even Tommy Mac and we have a good base forming. They are performing better than our more experienced players.
What impresses me most about the three players you've mentioned, is their ability to self moderate their individual performances despite their inexperience. I find it a positive trait which benefits the team in every facet, plus it shows their personal determination levels. To me, these are the markings of a competitive player. It's what Harry Grant showed last year.
I feel it's an undervalued or underappreciated trait, as we've had teams with a display of talent who were never quite able to adequately respond to or manipulate pressure situations in a game, due to a lack of this characteristic (in the team).
So given they're still learning and young enough to build on their skill set and strategies - and can continue on with this aspect - it will help lift the performance culture and future outlook of the team.
Think it's become fairly evident that the teams who are dominating the NRL have a clear competitive advantage due to their team cohesion - it's effective enough to optimise the skills of all players.
The whole synergy of those teams are first rate.
So if we can manage to keep core groups of our most talented, with players like Doueihi, Laurie and Stefano at the helm, I believe our future is looking very bright.
