My Thoughts On 2023 So Far...

5 of 9 losses being against top sides, in 1-12 matches besides broncos and rabbitohs, the team we held to a try for 70 minutes.
All teams are playing first grade. All teams are professional. All teams should be trying to win the premiership or hand back your teams licence. They shouldnt be playing for participation awards.

We have a Top 4 pack

We are coming second last to last.

Complete failure is the answer...............yet again.

‘Captain’ for the next 6-8 weeks will be Klem, with a Bateman type taking over while he’s off, but wouldn’t be surprised if Stefano gets the nod at some point. Klem is very highly regarded as a leader and in the leadership group.

lol, top 4 pack. I'm not even sure we have a top 8 pack.
However, complete failure is certainly accurate.

I think all that is stopping us from being a top team is a halfback.

I think Brooks in the halves is fine but as a five eight we need a dominant half with a great kicking game and everything else is their.

Problem is we haven't been able to find one

Talau still being in the tigers frame is still baffling.
Well no one seems to be able to confirm the story about him signing with Manly, unless both clubs comfortable with him going over at season end.
And if he’s here he may as well be playing , and trying to repay our support.
Up to last week he hadn’t been going too bad but he had a very ordinary game v Titans.
Let’s see if he retains his position, and if yes , whether he lifts his game considerably.

Decided early in the year, NRL development I assume , with some financial incentive. Not like we are unbeatable at LO and CS anyway, so maybe a road trip will lift them but Warriors better than a lot of people realise so could be a smash up.
Mainly driven by Women's world cup and our grounds not being available.

LO only ground not available for the WC
Couldn't played it at Commbank, Campbelltown or Accor
There was options

Tigers taking their home ground elsewhere, Warriors don't have to travel and playing it in their own backyard really.

Then assume my previous comment that there must be serious dollars involved, as no other logical reason.

Taking one of our home games to New Zealand is supposedly our thank you to the Warriors for the sacrifices they made during COVID, which on the surface seems like a good thing to do, if every club did the same and the Warriors, apart from Magic Round, could have played every game at home.

Maybe they could have even been asked by the NRL if they would have liked to have a bye during Magic Round.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think we are the only club that is doing this and no doubts about it, this is a wonderful gesture on our part giving back to Warriors supporters and giving the Warriors a bit of a leg up.

Looking at the way the Warriors are going with one of our ex coaches on board they probably don't need the leg up, as a matter of fact, we could use about 20 points start to even things up.

As some have already pointed out, there must be some sort of financial incentive involved here, which seems to be the only thing that the management of this club seem to care about, don't worry about what is the best way to get wins on the board, just keep doing things to give other teams a leg up.

Let's face it we are much too nice, while other teams take advantage of every available loophole and bend every rule and jump up and down about dodgy officiating to get the rub of the green in subsequent weeks we meekly and mildly cop it up the arse, stand back while our best players get smashed by grubs, release players to assist rival clubs with out any visible benefit to us, and on and on it seems to go.

Maybe I'm going a bit overboard with this rant, but like many on here, I am just sick and tired of Wests Tigers being losers.
