Can't wait to take my two year old twins (one boy and one girl) to Campbelltown Stadium tonight to watch their first ever match live. We have general admission seats. They will both fall asleep during the match but still a very proud moment. Wife coming for moral support.
For all the proud forum parents you can appreciate my special moment and hope Wests Tigers bless them with a win.
My son has a Wests Tigers jacket. I might pull out my 30 year old Western Suburbs scarf to wear tonight.
Bring back memories when my late Mother (proud Parramatta Supporter and use to work with Graeme Atkins mother - I think he played in one of Parramatta's grand finals) use to take myself and the local boys on the train from Seven Hills station to Lidcombe over to watch our beloved Western Suburbs Magpies play in the late 70's. We use to dress up in the our Western Suburbs outfits and cheer on the hill our heros of the day like Tommy Radonikis, Graeme O'Grady, Jimmy Leis, Les Boyd, Terry Lamb, Dallas Donnelly, Joe Cool, etc.
Looking back on the games of that era I am surprised we were allow to go as the games were so violent especially against Manly, Canterbury, St George and Parramatta. I glad the game was cleaned up in the early 80's.
Can't wait until 7:30pm. Hope the twins are still awake.
Also my first live game since the twins were born so very excited myself.
Look forward to cheering them to victory.
Look forward to seeing all forum member pack the stadium tonight.
