My wish list for this game

Im not too worried about winning this game, but i feel its an important game to set up a return clash with Saints in septmeber or hopefully october.

All i want from us is:

1.Attitude and commitment…...agressive defensive line and great scrambling. Back patting, lots of talk and just a general demeanour of confidence.

2.Sharp and upbeat attack. Play fast but smart. If the exacution isnt there well so be it, that happens sometimes, but the intent has to be.

3.I want Marshall hitiing our left side attack with more confidence, but to do this, id say we need Fulton and then Murdoch to be the players he's hitting rather tham Moltzen. Even Brown coming in to centre sometimes, just as long as its someone hitting the line hard.

4.Lui to pick up the pieces from a below par game last week and be highly involved, kicking, probing and showing commitment in defence.

5.Farah to continue is more controlled style of play and picking his moments to play his hand.

Just 5 simple things with the result not being important. I just want to send a message that we are the team that will beat them later this year with our players back from injury.

I'd be happy with those points as well.

Thinking back on last week Robbie did the things that I wanted him to do especially when we are camped in the opposition 20 metre area. I'd love to see that continue and the whole team play tough. Lui can't play as bad as he has been recently and Marshall should improve as well.

To be able to beat st george we have to target gasnier, soward, creagh, weyman, cooper, boyd, morris and hornby. By shutting these players down we will stop tries coming in at our end of the field and keep them in their own half we will be getting the ball in their half of the field and therefore won't be under pressure as much.

no easy turn over of the ball.
brutal defense.
play like it is the last game ever these blokes will be together.

85% plus completion rates
Less than 20 missed tackles
And our A1 kicking game If we can manage that we should be close enough if good enough
Benji and Robbie at there breathtaking best

Not to have to listen to "this player played like crap because he was upset about (insert reason here)"! This team needs to pull it's finger out and start playing for each other, instead of being a bunch of divas. Players need to look at where we are on the ladder and ask themselves would anyone be picked for NSW in game 2 on current form. If there is a repeat of the last two performances, then some senior players need to sit on the sidelines and let younger players inject some passion and enthusiasm into the team. I hope I'm wrong but I have never seen this team respond to a game like the Rabbitohs (what the hell is a rabbito anyway? Sounds like a breakfast cereal) game with what they served up against Penriff. I don't think the players are all on the same page.

Dont let them get 8 in front…..they love this.

Hopefully score first AND second and take the Illa fans out of the game

Someone make Boyd bleed from the face & head...I'd enjoy this, maybe a fracture or

...better stop here.

What is it about Boyd? He has a face you just want to see get punched. He doesn't even have to speak, he just looks like a massive smart ar$e! I hope that dou€he bag Greg Bird takes him out tonight and they both get ruled out for the season! I better stop there now!!!😉

Good points Sirro, the only other point I'd raise is for the Tigers to get their completion rate up to around 80% or just beyond. If they can hold the ball and kick well, then they'll be right in the game.

Well made Sirro, judging by last week you may see some more of that left side play by Marshall and BMM…

After the last 2 weeks, I would be satisfied with just point 1… I think with the right attitude and committment the rest will fall into place. Having said that, all 5 would give us a great chance of winning!!!

Good points by Sirro, I have just watched a reply of a show that was on channel 9 last night called the 'Originals.' For those who didn't see it, there was a panel consisting of a panel including Wally Lewis, Wayne Bennett, Ray Hadley, Phil Gould and Andrew Johns. Johns spoke about how he analysed Thurston's attacking plays and then tried them against the Blues right side defence at training this week and he found the blues defence very difficult to penetrate. Johns pointed out the St George players who dominate that side defence being Beau Scott, Gasnier and Soward. Scott runs that side defence for St George and the Blues. Bennett said if he was coaching a team to play St George he wouldn't spend too much time attacking St George right side defence but would go the other side. Take from that what you will, in any case based on what Johns found, Bennett's comment and the fact that the Cowboys only scored one try against the Drags a couple of weeks ago, Wests Tigers should concentrate attack away from the Saints right side unless Scott gets injured in SOO. Bennett said he worries when Scott isn't playing.

Agreed. It would go a long way to restoring some semblance of a team that could win the premiership
