Naiqama Defending

Best solution is to have Farah defend wider of the ruck. He can keep the line together.

Has Farah ever been tested wide of the ruck defensively with numbers & footwork coming at him?

He probably spent 5 minutes there when Sheens nepotistically picked him as a utility for Australia…he was a great player at the time but he will never be a utility.

The name of this thread is hilarious. There's no way the words "Naiqama" and "Defending" should ever be in the same sentence. His defending doesn't even exist!!!!!

Yeah I don't think he's ever likely to get sponsorship from a condom manufacturer.

Farah hasn't been tested wider, but his role will be to cover the back rower running at Moses' inside shoulder and to keep the defensive line in order.

Naqaima is worth persisting with. One of our best all year. Obviously had a niggle and played poorly. Gets rested and comes back as good as before.

Don't agree. Robbie at his best was a handy half. He player very well there when forced circa 2007/08\. Singlehandedly kept us competitive in that period.

While his defence has been poor, his attack was good again last night. He knows when to straighten and take off.

Massive critic of his reads in defence…massive fan of his attack
so the answer is Kidwell has to earn his keep and teach this kid how to make defensive reads, because he can tackle its just his decision making that is up the creek

He just needs some work. He is killing them out there. The comments that he isn't a centre are crazy talk as well. He has looked a lot better in the centres.

He also has Moses inside him and Nofo outside of him. They are both hopeless defenders as well. I reckon that whole side needs a lot of work on their defence.

As long as he scores and sets up more tries then he lets in, then we generally end up winning. In attack he is unbelievable, and i love when he gets his hands on the ball. But then look at the bulldogs and roosters game and he pretty much cost us both games. I dont know what the solution is , but as you stated Kidwell has got to earn his money or we need to find another defensive coach. Hopefully when Cleary comes in he brings a defensive coach with him

Until he can become a reliable defender, he is not a centre.

You can get away with weak defence on the wing. But nowhere else.

Nofo, like any winger, is only as good as his inside defender allows him to be.
