Nathan brown in coaching mix

I like Potter, think he is definately getting the raw deal here…...but he has to go.

If Potter stays, the media will be buzzing every week next year around him....is he getting fired this week or next week...its been a circus for 2 years already and the only way to put it to bed is to have some BIG CHANGES....At board level, at coaching level and maybe even Mayer should go.

We have a club full of good juniors and what we need is a solid 3-5 year plan now so that we are able to RIDE THE WAVE OF SUCCESS with these talented guys at our club.

And without pointing fingers at the players...they need to be told that they donot decide who coach's the team....their job is to play footy at their best otherwise they should p.ss-off elsewhere.

Time for everyone to put the club and its fans first....for a change.

Don't get the love for Brown sorry Willow or Watto

He has had many teams full of superstars both in the NRL and ESL and has yet to deliver

He won't have that if he comes to the Tigers

Pass

Next Please

He took huddersfield from the bottom of the ladder to the top,and to a challenge cup final in a short space of time, that is why St Helens came knocking,he now has the saints on top of the ESL,don't know what you expect from him..
I would like Griffin, but Taylor or Brown would do also.

Still hasn't won anything , and he has had sides that have been massive favourites that have flopped big time

Just saying

Cleary hasn't won anything, but is widely regarded as a great coach.

What's that saying about animals changing their spots ??

Brown was always the clown on and off the field , very relaxed laid back

I just don't think he is the style of coach we need at this stage ,with his attitude

Too many mixed messages for the young blokes

This whole process is making it hard on the young blokes

Woods ,Simona ,Nofoaluma ,Tedesco etc

This will be their third coach in 4 years if Potter is gone

Much like Griffin and the Broncos but he seems to be the flavour of the Month…

Broncos are probably a season from something big imo Geo

Hunt and McCullough have come of age , they have a lot of young backs starting to look good , and have always had a good forward pack

I had the Broncos down as a bottom 4 side at the start of the season , they have overachieved in my eyes by making the Top 8

Barba was a shocking purchase for them

So why did the Broncos flick him with a year to run on his contract to bring back Wayne…if they are on the verge?

Don't think anyone's really convinced there's a better coach out there than who we have already.
Especially for the money we can offer.
Winning is the only thing that will stop conjecture about any coach.
Seems to me Potter has more motivation than anyone now to get the team winning.

That's something you would have to ask the Broncos board Geo

Personally I think they have got it wrong bringing Bennett back as do many others including Darren Lockyer and Gordon Tallis

I suppose when you are a one city team and you haven't won a premiership in 7 years pressure starts to build on everyone

I know this will be virtually impossible , but how will the Broncos look if they get up and win the premiership or even make the GF ??

Brown always had the dragons in the semis but his teams would either choke or under achieve I really don't know how I would feel about him, back then though the problem was he played with those players he was to young that NEVER works, which is why Todd Payden wouldn't work Fittler never worked. etc

Why not give Potter GM of football operations, he has good media skills or should I say they seem to love him, the old under dog thing. He knows his way around a football club,he would know the workings of the salary cap, I think the players respect him as a person maybe not a coach.

Than you give Brown the coaching role who seems to be good friends with Potter, so one would think they could get a good working relationship going.

It could work

I've been thinking the same thing.
Can't see why it wouldn't work.

Isn't his problem with communication???

I've heard that raised a few times.

This definitely wouldn't be the position for him.

Potter was a successful coach in England. Brown is a successful coach in England. Brown does not seem to offer anything that we don't already have. Potter was not given a chance to bring his own crew with him. Having Mayer advise the board on a coach would be like having Osama bin Laden advising on world peace. Keep Potter.

In her interview, Go was adamant that unity was key. Therefore it would seem to me that a Potter/Mayer mix will not be at the club next year. If Potter stays, Mayer must go. If Mayer is to stay on as CEO, (and there was no mention in the interview of a review of his position), then Potter will be given the chop.
Personally, I just want Mayer gone. He's been an absolute failure as a CEO of this club.

Potter deserves a chance, not given to him in the last 2 years, What a shame? We see give him another year without the sabotage and see how he goes.

Potter has a 50 - 50 chance of being retained. I personally like to see what he could do, given a free rein and choosing his own stuff. A payrise is due too

Potter has buckleys, rightly or wrongly the club will want to try distant itself from the past two months and start selling "the new bright future" to the media and the punters.

The problem if they go with Potter any dip in form in 2015 and the scribes and the punters will start rehashing all the crap from this year.

My only hope they have the funds to buy a quality coach and not be forced to go to the bargain basement sales again

Potter is gone- agree or disagree the team confirmed that in the last 6 weeks.

Brown would be a great choice - extensive experience in NRL and SL, success in taking clubs to improvements, has got better as a coach over time, has no link to wests or Balmain.

He is a much better choice then most who have been mentioned - especially Griffen who as taken the club with the best resources in the comp to bugger all success.

Only one I see as better then Brown would be Daniel Anderson from those available

Mayer is boss, so he is the one that will make the recommendations whether Potter stays or leaves. The Board will more often than not listen to his recommendations. Potter deserves a fair go. I hope that the new board will have everything sorted out especially with the finances.I hope Mayer will give Potter all the support he deserves.
If Potter has to go, a good coach who is firm in his stance has to be selected. There are not many with the experience available. The first in mind could be Griffin.Taylor could be a good choice with proven experience. I prefer if possible, we keep Potter and gives him all the support he deserves and at least let him have his own choice of assistants and players to buy. With the backs coming back from injuries and some up and coming good ones from the lower grades to gether with our proven forwards will give us a better 2015\. I do not envisage that we reguire many big buys, probably a fast back or two.
