Apparently done already, wonder what this means in regards to Nathan and us

Could this sway Nathan back to re-signing with Penrith?

Not without knowing who the coach will be - until Gould decides to sack whoever that might be as well. Pretty unstable club.

Why else do you think this has been done apparently Nathan is close to the new coach .Looks like Gould’s all or nothing move not great leadership.

After painting himself as ‘The Good Guy’ last week in regards to Nathan re-uniting with Ivan Gus will now show his hand by enticing Ivan to coach the Panthers - the scene is set- so Nathan doesn’t need to move anywhere. Shows how dumb we are by not extending Ivan’s contract early.

There is no way in the world Gould is going to admit wrong by getting rid of Cleary in the first place and now come grovelling back to get him. Not a chance in the world. I’d bet my house that panthers would be the last place Ivan Cleary coaches while Phil Gould is still around.

Ivan is still signed for season 19 and 20 with us, that must count for something

That or desperate

Imagine if Ivan went back to the Panthers and they won the grand final. Gus would build a statue of himself at the stadium.

Where do you live?
I have a 3 bedder in the Parra area…..

Maybe Griffin was a road block to resigning Nathan?? I wonder who Gould has lined up to Coach - what about Fittler?? Can he possibly be SOO coach and Panthers coach as well? That could sway Nathan to stay at the Panthers.

He lives next door to Ivan !

I was thinking more along the lines of Gould going after Bennett for next year.

Bennett would definitely tighten up their defense and Nathan would be crazy to leave.

Does it matter who the Coach is with the Panthers, Gould is the Boss, Ivan has been there & dont think he would go back after what happened to him before.

My only concern in all of this was Ivan's last interview

He mentioned he didn't want to be involved in nepotism and pick Nathan while his position wasn't guaranteed

Maybe the Cleary "sacking" was all a ruse from Penrith and they bring him back once Nathan was /is established

I highly doubt it ….....but you never know

Ivan seems a class act , sort of the bloke whose "word is his bond "

But family is family

Still think Barrett would be the best bet , but who knows .....Bennett now has no family ties ......
