Nathan Cleary

My client who attended today's luncheon (who also has TPA's with several key players) said IC is gone

I was told our coaching position will become more clearer over the next two-three weeks. Bennett is the preferred option, followed by Madge.

My client has attended a number of these lunches and said this is the first year he has not seen the Head Coach make an appearance

I’m sorry I can’t believe this for a second.
There’s no way tigers players are paid TPAs?!?!? 😁

Cleary was not at the function today and his name was not mentioned by either Marina Go or Justin Pascoe in their speeches as far as I can recall. It stuck out…

I think it was 50/50 on people thinking Cleary had said enough vs not enough in public, but not attending the GF lunch, without explanation to the crowd there (as far as relayed to us on here) - that would be 99/1 against.

As ink said, suddenly and unexpectedly a lot more relevant.

As others have said for weeks, where there is smoke there is fire.

Different thread, but my "fixation" has always been on those that wanted to argue about the original Penrith and WT meetings not being about him leaving early. It has been "relevant" for a couple of months or so and this afternoon is no surprise.

It’s not a fire it’s a towering inferno….....The minute IC gave his p weak 30 second media release I knew it was curtains. I would imagine also Go, Pascoe and the board knew from day one that they needed a new coach but needed to get to October and get a spin doctor to sell the news.

We will hear plenty in the next week or two, but I would say IC is gone

I think it would be funny to see how the Unca brigade would react if Clint Eastwood walks into our saloon after years and years of unca bashing. And if he brought Darius. My sides.

That Brent Read story could very well have been fabricated and leaked by Gus. Gave him the opportunity to sway the board that they had to sack Griffin to turn things around. Then fed BS to Ivan that Wests had leaked the story that would have upset both Ivan and Nathan if it wasn't true. Then make a play for Ivan while he has doubts about Wests integrity.

Typical low life reporter, when nothings happening , just have a "source" tell him load of BS and unload it on anyone who will swallow it, It gets the mill moving again.
Problem is, if there isnt at least a shred of truth in it. it can only last a few days before it unravels and hes got to repeat the whole process all over again
