Parra fan i work with believes if shopping Peats around doesn't work, they'll turn to Gordon. Good luck offloading a 32 yr old with no knees.

I hope the Gold Coast try and screw them over big time - take Peats on a greatly reduced contract so Parra have to offload someone else as well. Don't be surprised if the NRL say they can play for points even if they don't offload anyone before Friday on the grounds that they are doing everything they possibly can to get compliant.

Win for the NRL they get a quality footballer to go to the Titians a club that they basically own and they get Parra compliant. As I have said they need Parra compliant to keep the rating bubbling along, the could not afforded to have had any dud games and loose all the interest that Parra attracts.
This whole thing has been very well planned by the NRL, it was always going to be an exercise in turning a massive negative into a positive with them being seen as the good guys

Funny that isn't it - an NRL controlled club gets Parra out of the mess. Who would of thunk it. Any details on the deal - bet they took over his whole contract when any other team could have screwed for at least half of the payments.
