I have no idea how Penrith will keep team harmony long term…. James Maloney is the number one play maker at Penrith James fought with Gallen at the Sharks about not doing what James wanted with the ball in attack

I don't know how this strange father Son love story plays out in front of the team could get real weird really quick

We were all for it when we thought Nathan was coming here.

Its glaring the turn around isnt it.

It sure is, they’d have to feel pretty sheepish don’t you think.

I'm still not getting excited until something comes of it. Something may happen and then everyone who buys into the story can crow about it. I can only take the bloke at his word which is that he intends to honour his contract. Until anything else happens that is what I hold him to. I still hope that he does not let us down after what he was trying to achieve here, if he does leave, his integrity (or lack thereof,) leaves with him.

Likewise CB…whatever happens happens, theres no right or wrong...except for some who have a real necessity to be proven correct on the net to strangers, probably doesnt happen often for them in real life.

When the story first broke of Clearys meeting with panthers you were all over it and even created a thread on who will be the next coach. Then you wanted to have a go at anybody who was still running with the media stories. Now your back on the media bandwagon. There is no right or wrong. Cleary might stay or Cleary might go, who really knows. But you continuously look silly by taking pot shots at people because they are taking a different take on how this whole thing is playing out.

Exacty Tigerpower. It has nothing to do with being proven correct its about how some people carried on and ridiculed those who had the opinion Cleary was gone. It was over the top garbage and whats more nothing was done by the mods to pull their heads in.

Now these same people are trying to play the there is no right or wrong card. Its a joke.

I’d go all out for Maguire as he has the ability to retain and attract players. No nonsense who would have learnt from his downfall at Souths which was loyalty to players. He is a premiership winning coach and many years left. Bennett would get more instant success on and off the field. He can’t be long term at close to 70\. That’s the only draw back.

If Bennett did 3 years with Hodgson as his successor it would also be great.

Hope they nail this one way or the other. Cleary has to go now.

I'm tipping you're not referring to me as I don't think I've ever got up anyone for suggesting he was gone, rather that I'd wait until official confirmation that he was gone.

Predictable, you & Pat cant help yourselves eh?
We can all see whos taking the pot shots.
Are you trying to get another thread locked…going the right way about it.

Sorry mate wasn’t aimed at you.

Both are upgrades on Ivan. Agree with your scenario on Bennett, succession plan needs to be in place. Personally I have no issues who gets it out of the two mentioned.

No mate, from what i understand youve been on holidays and out of the picture.

Ill say no more on it other than to say it wasnt people who were saying Cleary was gone who got threads closed. It was the 3 or 4 guys who just couldnt accept that opinion.

Please don’t take the high road. Your the worst out of the lot. You were as much to blame as anyone else for threads getting locked. As I said you were all over anyone quoting the media about the Cleary situation , and now it’s okay for you to be quoting the media. Hypocrisy at its best….....

Agree with you both. Im leaning towards Maguire as a long term option. But anyone other than Cleary would be good.

Now that we’ve turned on Cleary’s coaching, can we agree that the side made no progress this season, and only went sideways at best?

I thought that was the general consensus.
Flashes of improvement followed by same old same old.

I think the majority of people have turned on Cleary as a person who has shown he has no integrity and is being clouded by his desire to coach his son. He could be the best coach in the world but that means nothing anymore. Still light years ahead of our previous coach.

Too right mate, I was called some really nice names when I suggested Cleary needed to clear this up ASAP, didn't bother me, but your last sentence just about nails it though

I thought it was obvious. Defence improved, but attack went backwards. The opposite of what it usually has been. Plus we still knew how to blow games that were important to win. Same old same old indeed.

I was happy to give Cleary some leeway in his first year. Looks like we will never know how he will go in his second year. The most crucial game for us was the bulldogs game and it’s no co incidence that was the week Cleary was having get togethers with the panthers hatching a plan to go back there.
