New Faces at Training

I haven't got the image, but if you have a look at the most recent photo gallery posted by the club of the boys in the gym, you'll see Doueihi looking like an absolute tank. to play in the front line week in week out he was going to need to bulk up, but he looks huge already. also heard Laurie Daley on BSB the other day say that he was at training the other day and couldn't believe the size of AD. looking and sounding very promising!

My god some of these guys are units. I repeat myself, Ive never seen a tigers team look so well prepared as this off season. IMO one of two things will happen. We will look back and say either, that preparation was the reason for the improved D and endurance....or....that preparation burned the squad out and they are tired/injured.

Hopefully the former obviously and it must be a positive for the team to be so well prepared.

Its a characteristic of Madge coached teams.

That is fantastic to see, there was a little bit of concern with Stefano as he was signed before the 6 again rule came in.

There's a leanness to some of our forwards I've never seen before, hopefully it pays dividends - saw souths training and physically we look to be in better shape than them...

It should help with the increase in the use of 6 again this season. I think we may see Madge combine his traditional power game with more mobility in the forwards. Hopefully all the poor trainers are now gone from the squad and we are one of the fitter teams in 2021.

Definitely seems like they've tried to trim our forwards down, noticeable difference In Stefano Mikaele and Musgrove in how lean they are now

Yeah I saw the Saints train on my lunch break near win stadium the other day - our boys look a lot more physically ready than them. Definitely not biased though...:wink: I just can't believe some of the physiques of our lads

Not sure if this is the best place to post this but Im interested in the visual difference between our boys and Souffs. IMO our guys look a LOT stronger and fitter than these guys. In particular, Latrell looks fat.

Write off LM at your peril though, I don't think the guy has ever been ripped and he's still faster and stronger than most players in our backline.


At centre, I'd agree with you. The perform at the required level at fullback involves a lot of work, lots of K's. Cant see it in him. He has the potential and the comparisons with Inglis are legitimate but at a young age he is starting to resemble late career GI IMO.

He was ordinary when he payed at Hull KR in Super League a couple of years back. Really hope this guy does not take up a Top 30 spot.

Luciano was in a moon boot aswell last week - a few of them have been, mainly precautionary.
