New forwards needed for 2019

what worries me most is that teams like the knights and parra and a couple of others have already signed forwards for next year, yet we have this war chest of salary cap money and have nothing to show for it, i know players will come on the market at any time but we dont seem to be doing much, hope iam wrong and Ivan has it all in hand. we really need a prop and 2 back rowers and a strike center or we will never get in the top eight.

Who would have thought that Woodsie would be playing for Cronulla this year after signing a 4 year deal with the Bulldogs last year?

The Raiders game showed once again that we need more big bodies in our side.

Yeah true CQ , but Woods was standing behind the try line with the rest of them in the other floggings in the 3 games in previous years leading up to this years cluster (you know what) of a performance

Spot on, we probably need a middle forward but apart from that we can get by.

We need a couple of centres, a backup winger and probably a hooker.

as i stated in a previous tread, rona told my young bloke while they were at star city, and my young bloke was there with benji and jeremy so it was for real, he wanted to come but the chance to play in the rugby world cup was to great to knock back.

Yeah Kane Evans is bloody awful. He was a terrible signing for Parra and would be a worse signing now.

I recall people here whinging when he debuted for the Roosters, complaining wed lost another gun junior

Twal has been good yes , not in the same league as Lawrence

I was mainly concentrating on Ivan's recruits, Twal being the best of them.
I agree Lawrence has been the best overall. He's still improving. Trouble is he's the only consistently good backrower. Most of the others are slow, don't run the ball, can't hit gaps, can't even catch reliably.
It's one of the main reasons we can't score tries.

For front rowers, I’d be looking the Eels way with Junior Paulo coming in… Terepo and Matagi are both uncontracted for 2018.
Even Alvaro (contracted till 2019) or Evans (contracted till 2020 but currently languishing in reserve grade).

Currently languishing in Parramatta's reserve grade? Doesn't sound like someone I'd like to see us sign.

Some Brisbane reporter yesterday was saying TPJ signing is basically a done deal for Brisbane but Oates is considering an offer elsewhere. Would still be surprised if Oates leaves Brisbane.
