Humble will be the fullback. If Reddy has recovered from his ankle injury then he'll be in the 17 jersey.

Reddy has a hamstring problem and if fit will start at fullback, humble #17 (humble was good v sharks)

I reckon Humble will keep the no1 jersey. If Beau is out I'd love to see Grant given a go, or that fijian bloke from the lower grades.

Glad to see we can't even get through the first game without a season ending injury… I'd have traded a win for a fit Tedesco next week.

That's exactly what I said last night to the family …just devastating!

Up against 2 very astute kickers, so I'd move Beau Ryan to the back, bring Reddy onto his wing and leave Humble as an attacking option off the bench again.

Go with Experience for this one!

I think the loss of Tedesco is going to be significantly worse than most people think. Yes, he is a rookie, but the kid was clearly something special and was EXCELLENT under the high ball. None of our other fullback options appear to be (esp. now with Brown gone). Humble played well but he let two bombs bounce and that is again going to be an issue.

I think you need a quality 1, 6, 7 and 9 to win the comp. We have a 6 and a 9, but huge question marks over the 1 and 7\. I think Humble is a good, solid player and I will give him a chance to cement his spot but I personally believe you need a classy fullback to win the comp and I'm not sure he is that person. Tedesco clearly was.

From what I have been told by some Parra fans, Humble is a good attacking player but very questionable under the high ball. Perhaps Reddy will be the safer option, and keep Humble on the bench as the utility back.

X 2

Tedesco will missed more than we all think. As we all saw on sunday he all class and Sheens could see it, that's why he had him training there all summer.
Of course Sheens would have had a backup plan if the kid did not work out. We will find that out when the team is announced on Tuesday.
IMO it will be Humble to the back and Reddy to the bench.

Hey all , don't forget about Linc Port , watched him play NSW cup was very good , with Mitch brown off to the dogs and Tedesco out , I rate him as second in line for the first grade FB spot behind humble .

Moltzen better under the high ball and Humbke considers himself to be a half

I know Moltzen has been training all pre season at halfback but I still think

Humble 7 and Moltzen 1 is the way to go

I agree would like to see humble at 7 for a game. Molts will slot back in nicely to 1\. Either way I think humble and moltzen on the field is great. Might be too early, but those two could finish our spine nicely this year. If it wasn't 40 degrees, we hadn't suffered teddys injury and we had tuquri on the field, we could have scored two or three more tries. Humble may get a big test this Friday against the sea eagles. Hope reddy stays clear personally. Beau Ryan is underrated and can fill fb no problem

People who are talking about moving moltz to fullback to must have no idea how hard it is to build combinations .

Changes hurt teams , They only to make a change to 1 position that is fullback . They should not make. making changes to
Multiple positions would a completely egregious excersize

Moltzen to fullback.
Humble to halfback or
Marshall to halfback/Fulton to 5/8, Humble on bench.

Tell that to Sheens, Rambo. He has a history of changing several players', positionally, to replace just one injured player. Also, the playmaking combinations with Moltz at fullback have been tried, tested and proven to work pretty darn well already, and Humble is a natural halfback, who calls for the ball at first receiver, barks orders and has great vision. Seriously, it's a no brainer, imo.

Despite the injury to Tedesco it must have been obvious to Mitch Brown that he was way out of contention to replace him either at Fullback or on the bench, the negotiations for his transfer must have been in full swing since mid last week as it came as a shock to most of us that he was granted a release so early in the season let alone so early in the week.

A few posts back, re what is our weakest position ? I saw fullback as our weakest spot. I noticed nobody else thought fullback was our weak spot. Well it is. If Moltzen doesn't go back well be in big trouble I believe. Don't get me wrong I was won over by Humble as well, but his inclusion at fb after Teddys injury was a unplanned must, no coach would have seen it coming, but the coaches from this week will be prepared. In the end, whoever Sheens picks, I hope he sticks with all year.
