Looks good

would love the new SFS
Roosters don't have fans anyway and we don't have a opposition leagues club right next door and close to public transport

Except it is in the Eastern Suburbs

It’s on the outskirts of the CBD, a long way from the water.

It is in the Eastern Suburbs though, no denying it.

Irrelevant

I disagree, I think it is stupid for a club that is called Wests (named for being Western Suburbs) to have their home ground in the Eastern Suburbs. People complain about not having an identity then propose options to muddy that identity more.

we are West of the CBD
Wests tigers

The SFS isn't Wests of the CBD?

no but wests tigers are and the COE is West of the cbd so we can be anywhere in Sydney in theory
we would be silly not to look at a really good stadium with public transport and no fan base in the Roosters

I would much prefer Liverpool over the SFS or ANZ

I don't want to share with Bulldogs we will be the poor cousin
ANZ would be the sensible option if not SFS

ANZ is a hole

So is Liverpool.

Get bashed in the car park at Liverpool

Probably. You'd want to dress down (Tigers jersey) and leave your wallet at home.

Never been there … never had to ?
Heard stories ..mainly on the 6pm news

Like tonight. A fight in the KFC carpark over a parking spot.

get robbed on the way in to the ground or come back from watch a 30 -0 flogging and see no tyres on your car

Redfern used to be like that is that why Souffs don't play there anymore?

I think campbletown if you had to at least might work Liverpool is not a desirable destination to go see games like Belmore is not either

Campbeltown isn't desirable either.

It's Leumeah one of the only grounds that has a rail connection on its door step a Leagues club 50 m from the entrance and easy access to M5 and M7 road networks

Yeah it would be great if it was redeveloped, it ticks all the boxes. Unfortunately I can't see it happening. Basically it is an Labor electorate and won't get the funding needed from this State Govt.

Unfortunately it does not tick any boxes for me. There in lays the problem ....... no ground will tick all the boxes for all the supporters, we all have wants and realistically there is no simple solution. Personally I think they missed a huge opportunity by not redeveloping Concord into a 20,000 seat stadium. We are a very diverse supporter base which needs to be catered for. So good luck to the board in sorting that one out. My short term solution would be to play half our games at ANZ and Campbelltown until they make a decision, but a long term decision must be made soon otherwise we will be going to Brisbane to watch a home game!

Great to hear from you @Lidcombe_Magpie1
Is there sufficient car parking at or near the ground for a 20k crowd?

If there would be a 20/25k stadium built for the club why not the Lidcombe oval site there is heaps of land the ground is getting more run down each year . I think the council would be up for this it’s not in the Parra LGA .. good transport / plenty of drinking spots and Lidcombe town centre is booming with small restaurants ect . This is an option Lidcombe is the last inner west suburb and has a traditional aspect to the club .
This will not happen but the talk of why Concord was not redeveloped thought Lidcombe has the land -has the traditional aspect -has the transport -has the entertainment required for game day .Just thoughts !

nor fear just not somewhere where I particularly want to go to watch footy

Wow used to love Lidcombe Oval , many memories there even though i was a Balmain supporter.I remember one day there Trevor Cogger had just played reggies , come to sit on the hill with his mates and got called on the pa , & next he runs out in 1sts and has a blinder

I wouldn’t mind Lidcombe either, don’t think it will happen though. Lidcombe is in the seat of Auburn, I think, another Labor seat. Don’t think the Liberals will be spending money there.

Looks good

would love the new SFS

I wouldn’t mind Lidcombe either, don’t think it will happen though. Lidcombe is in the seat of Auburn, I think, another Labor seat. Don’t think the Liberals will be spending money there.

I love it, all the old Magpie fans don't want a bar of Leichhardt oval being our home ground but like the idea of developing Lidcombe oval.

Mate a redeveloped Leichhardt oval would be awesome, I am literally 10 minutes away, but it is never going to happen. More chance of Lidcombe being redeveloped, there is enough land there to do it, but that won't happen either.

Not sure that I would be focusing too much on where we play our home games from.
Our identity is Tigers ….. that’s it. Success on the field, when it comes, will melt away all other factors.
With success will come supporters to fill the stadiums we play in no matter where they are located.
In the background ….. Our history will remain, our ownership issues will remain, our new training facility will be there for all to see.
Nope …. this is all bull dust ….. smoke and mirrors.
Our primary goal to focus on is to get to be winners on the playing field. The end.

The Grand Final is contracted to be held in Sydney for the next 25 years subject to any further pandemics and will be at Stadium Australia unless they build another 80k capacity stadium in Sydney.
Stadium Australia would be a good fit for WT'S until another option becomes available.

Lol, need the big screen as it is the only way to see the action, it needs a rebuild, not a new screen.
