New jerseys confirmed, Harry is back!

I don't know who the main sponsor is but it's not meriton

If it's not Meriton, I wonder if it's TNT.

Their trucks and vans have similar colours and stripes as the new Wests Tigers jerseys.

Just a wild guess.

I have to say though that credit should go to WT for holding onto Proton for as long as they did
It was in the first half of 2005 that the Proton deal was championed, that's nearly a 6 year relationship!
A STARK contrast to the Herbal World and Radison Maine days… well done WT!

I agree.

Proton signed with the Wests Tigers well before they started the finals series in 2005.

Wests Tigers were commanding more money after winning the comp in 2005.

I am not overly concerned for now - as I believe we are seeking another long-term partner rather than just a one-to-two year naming deal!

UD has the money - it will be a case of them believing the investment has material benefits!

I should clarify this by saying I was told this over a month ago, I assumed the deal was signed off on but didn't know for sure.

to tell you the truth - i dont really care when the jersies come out - they will come i promise before the season starts. chill out people! enjoy your summer.

So does anyone have any idea who the major sponsor(s) will be next year?

WATTO is gunna sell a couple of mansions on the Sunshine Coast and stop giving Locky Princey and the crew free rides at his Pub…proceeds going to the WESTS Tigers for a change...

Right WATTO..

including those rotten heritage jersies, we will be the worst dressed team next year…..lucky we can play footy eh?

We should be the last club having issues obtaining a main sponsor, but there ya go. You think they'd be trying to get it all resolved asap so that people can buy as Xmas gifts.

I see the Cowpats released their new jersey today.

THE Wests Tigers will today unveil a new playing strip for 2011 along with welcoming billionaire property tycoon Harry Triguboff back into the fold as a major sponsor.

Sitting comfortably in the top five Australian earners on BRW's rich list for 2010 with a personal fortune of $4.2 billion, the return of Triguboff is a major power play by the Tigers.

Triguboff famously severed ties with Wests Tigers after the club's ill-fated inaugural season a decade ago but thanks to some skilful negotiating from CEO Stephen Humphreys, big Harry is back.

The Tigers have also slightly altered their stripes for next season, as seen in this new strip modelled by Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington at the club's Concord headquarters.

"The jerseys are awesome. Believe it or not the players actually had a fair bit of input into the design of them and we couldn't be happier with how they've come out," Ryan said.

"There's a Lycra strip down either side to allow the material plenty of breathing space and the collars are designed so you can't try and take blokes' heads off.

"They're a good fit and a good feel. As a matter of fact Chris and I wanted to take them home but the club wouldn't let us."

The new-look jerseys are another predominantly Humphreys initiative, with the club wanting to continue to recognise its Western Suburbs and Balmain heritage but also continue to grow as a merged entity.

"One of the issues has been that the black jumper was seen as a throwback to Western Suburbs and the orange one was seen as a throwback to Balmain," Humphreys said.

"We kind of want to get a bit beyond that now and create something that is a Wests Tigers identity rather than a throwback."

On the acquisition of Triguboff, Humphreys said: "Harry doesn't back losers so we're taking that as a compliment and we'll make sure he gets a good return on that investment."

Seeing them on a player has certainly altered my opinion of them:

Home = totally and utterly disgusting. Worst.Jersey.Design.Ever
Away = not THAT bad. It's certainly no where near our best, but not the worst. I can see where they are trying to go with it, especially when you see the socks.

You know, it's the "V" on the main jersey that ruins it. Scrap that and it wouldn't look THAT ugly. The V just looks like an intern has thrown it together using Photoshop Lite (trial version).
They say that they are trying to step away from the "Balmain" and "Wests" thing which is all sweet, but a "V" is not Wests Tigers, it is very much Balmain and Wests. Even so, that sharp "V" is nothing like the V that balmain and wests had & it's nothing like what WT have ever had on our jerseys either. I fail to see why it's there.
oh well, it's done now.
