There are a lot of great players from the past who should be recognised. There should be no rush to do the recent players. Why not use the occasional to highlight the history of the game and the legends of the past?

Andrew Johns was a very good player, but it annoys me that he was chosen before so many players and it cheapens whatever worth such an award has.

The game does so little to promote its history, surely this is an opportunity to start.
