New S+C Coach

Sounds great and a different phylsophy about life and training which is not a bad thing , our minds need to think differently from time to time…the only problem I have does he own a shirt?

@Jerry,he sounds like a thoroughly professional S&C person and a good human being….

I don't care what tribe he lived with or how many mountain people he befriended....

If I look over to the sidelines in 2015 and DONT see 1/2 to 3/4 of our first grade side sitting there,I will be extremely happy....

Results will in the end dictate his success but believe me his time living with tribes in the mountains in mexico would have humbled him to such a degree that he is just the right person to have eduacting these people.I must say when i heard the Brian Smith report contained isses regarding education I was a little skeptical in regards to Brian Smith being of a teachers background But in his son(keegan)he certainly is an extremely interesting individual and Im sure he will be able to match his amazing skillset with some valuable life lessons which is all the more important considering we have a very young and impressionable team with a lot of potential.

Exactly Jerry he could be just the right type of person to groom the younger ones into not only good athletes but also very good people..

As we have said before,it is not only a physically demanding game but also mentally demanding…

Best of luck to Keegan and also welcome to the great Wests Tigers.....

The best coaches in any sport always get credited with caring for their players away from the field aswell.Keegan definitely sounds like he fits into this bracket.

Sounds OK
Time will tell
We needed change big time in this area, we are getting it

Dare I say that we be cautiously optimistic for the new year?

As long as JT works them hard and holds them accountable for their performances I'll be happy.

Maybe we should have invested in those little disc things that the wabbits used.

If I remember correctly, the wabbits rode rough-shod over the Rorters in their semi. Commentators kept saying how much fitter the wabbits appeared to be.

Yeah I don't know how much of an effect it will in the short term but I'm genuinely excited about 2016 especially if we can get the recruitment right

Been burnt too many times in the past, by jumping the gun and getting hopes up about new appointments

Happy yes I see '16 as having even more change, off field staff for 15, and player personnel for 16 and beyond

JT will want his style player too but the cap restricts too much change too soon

Yes know the feeling Ink , can remember at the end of 2013 "being genuinely excited about 2015"

But we are WT's supporters and are very used to that feeling

I wonder if his arrival means an upgrade to facilities.
Surely someone of his calibre wouldn't want to work with the current facilities at Concord.

I hope so. I can imagine part of the task he's been given is to design the Tigers facilities, and that IMO would be a big exciting drawcard.

My understanding is that facilities will be upgraded. To what extent I'm not sure though. I reckon Irvine might be able to find out though.

Does anyone have any pics of our training facilities/gym at Concorde ?
I'm picturing rusted steel and a wet floor just like in a salvage /wreckers yard

The Gym in itself is not bad ….It's a gym,,, the equipment is modern....the problem lies not with the tools..moreso with the training and sports science behind it which we fall away ...As Taylor said on 2sm the Roosters don't have the best training facilities either ...didn't effect them winning a premiership the falling one game short in defending it...

The appointment of Smith goes a long way in rectifying that IMO...
