The idea that if you represent a tiny league playing nation then you don't qualify for SOO is just not sensible.

The idea Flip is to try and strengthen the weaker sides for the WC

I get that Happy, but allowing Kiwi and Pom heritage players to play in Origin wouldn't affect anything on the International stage.

So how do you decide who plays for who Flip ??

Depends where they played their junior football, mate. Like Rothfield said Foran (Asquith Magpies), Luke (Bulldogs, Jersey Flegg), Watene-Zelezniak (St Clair Comets) and Taupau (Greenacre Tigers/Padstow Panthers) all played their junior football in NSW. Taumalolo (Townsville) and Marshall (Keebra Park) in QLD. If they've played a fair chunk of their junior football in either state, then they should be able to play Origin.

If not - then no way to start with. Don't care who they played their Junior football with.
