New Zealand Warriors

I like most people in Australia today will be in full support of the Warriors largely due to my hate for Manly. However if there was another team I'd support besides the Tigers it would be the Warriors, they have great young talent in Johnson and Locke. Who is everyone else going for today?

Even though I don't mind Manly these days (the whole 'Manly hatred' thing is wearing a bit thin, imo) I'll be going for the Warriors.

I have a real soft spot for New Zealanders, having had such a close association with many over the years as friends, workmates, through church life and as housemates etc. No matter where I've been, I've always ended up having a Kiwi as an integral part of my life, in some way. I've even been mistaken for one several times! - I think their accent rubs off through association lol. I remember speaking to a client the day after the 2002 GF that the Warriors lost to the Roosters and he said "I bet you're a bit upset today after yesterday's GF result." When I asked why should I be, he said "well you're a Kiwi aren't you?" :laughing:

So, I figure, since I'm an honourary Kiwi - go the Warriors!!! (for today only, of course) :laughing:

matai, the stewarts, watmough, hasler, toovey, fulton etc. What's not to hate?

As usual horrible refereeing playing a part Two shocking calls go Manly's way in lead up to second try Watmoough standing square HA
Daly Cherry evans bowls over NZ defender in the tackle before 2nd try
Suppose it doesn't surprise me though

first try, Mateo has it stripped (ruled lost), Watmough drops it playing it too quick (ruled interference), Manly score off the next play.

second try, Robertson is a mile offside, blatant obstruction, and a try (I guess it doesn't matter because it was a genius play ay Gus).

Absolutely disgusting. Rose probably should have been sent for one of that grubby elbow (which was clearly intentional), but it's okay, because he'll miss a couple of trials.
