Next Week Is The Miracle Round

i dont get the "we dont deserve to be in the finals" bs. hey, if we have played better than 8 other teams than we deserve to play in the finals.

Considering we were pre-season favourites and coming off successive top 4 finishes scraping into the 8 in the last round of the season isn't something to be that proud of. Can you honestly say that after today we deserve to be anywhere near the finals? i know i can't.

lol we don't decide if we DESERVE to be there or not, the ladder does. as long as the ladder has us in the top 8, then who are we to say we deserve to be there or not??

in science, the more you repeat an experiment the more reliable it is. the ladder is formed over 26 rounds and it is a better indication of if we deserve to be there or not.

Miracle Round you say

Miracle we don't get pumped by 50 + round without Marshall and Farah

They can't think about playing Farah now can they

Not always tig prmz…we have had some flukey wins this year where the better side lost. Roosters have finished below us and they have proven twice this year (again) that beating us is easy. I dont begrudge the Raiders their chance as they have played some poor footy this year yet have knocked off full strength top 4 sides away from home.
Some of the sides that will miss out deserve to and some are unlucky to. We fall into the first category.

Its just scary how different teams find different ways to beat us

One week a team will tear us apart up the guts

Next week they play through our compressed defence

Next week high balls

Following week it is through our edges

Next week aiming at our halves

Then we get outmuscled

Lack of size in our back row

Ineffective attack it goes on and on

2 decisions need to be made

Its either the players or the coacing staff One we make that decision the changes must be immediate

that's the keyword there "some".. as i said previously, the ladder involves 26 rounds.. we've got some flukey wins, so have canberra, so have brisbane and so have bulldogs. the ladder is the MOST reliable indication of whether we deserve to be there or not.

Yeah I think saying that what ultimately transpires is what deserves to transpire is a tad simplistic … Ie the Bulldogs deserved their win over us because the full-time scoreboard is the 'most reliable indicator'... or Jack the Ripper deserves to have enjoyed a free and peaceful retirement period because the law never caught up with him etc etc ...

Worthwhile opinion can be formulated on the vibe ... And the overriding feel to season 2012 is that we have underperformed hopelessly and don't deserve an invite to the end of season carnival.

It's all falling into place … Benji cleared, Storm edge out Sharks to guarantee top 4 finish ... The planets are aligning and the biorhythms are going bizerko ... Believe people

Hmm, whilst a lot of people are saying we don't deserve to be in the finals, if this is the case then neither do Canberra - awful at times, Brisbane falling apart in the back half of the year.
Brisbane lose and we win then we are in the 8.
So if things happen our way and we make 8th, then we deserve to be there as much as the other teams.
Do I think it will happen? - Highly unlikely.
Will I cheering them on all the same? Hell yes.

Regardless of what happens - barring a premiership - I think 2013 will be Sheens final year as coach. 2014 sees a new coach whilst Sheens becomes coaching director.

X 2.

Really what's it matter if we deserve to be there or not. 8 teams make the finals and over the years plenty of teams have scrapped into the 8 having a below average season. I think the problem is we all had high hopes for this team and they should be a top 4 side. The fact we are on the cusp of missing out is disappointing to say the least. Had the season started with as $15 wooden spoons favorites and us all thinking that's about where we'd finish then I'm sure we'd be happy sitting where we are going into the last round. With a chance of making the 8.

I'm really don't rate to raiders, there is a possibility of young Williams being out. This in kind and the fact a lackluster warriors outfit will be fired up to finish this one on high I see them winning by 10-14.

Tigers getting home over the storm by 8 and Brisbane beating the panthers.

Brisbane playing panthers in Brisbane = Brisbane 2 points with way superior points diff

Canberra playing warriors who have just dropped Shaun Johnson and benched Maloney. Ummm I'd say Canberra in a cricket score.

Book in mad Monday

well said Warren!

Thanks Cunno …

Some may suggest that perhaps my slightly soiled pair of black, white and orange Pat Hundy's are cutting the oxygen off from reaching my already addled brain ... But what can I tell you, I'm feeling dangerously upbeat about the upcoming weekends round of running wrestling.

Brisbane have not won in 6 weeks, Penrith could conceivably knock them off.

I'd have given them a realistic shot if Luke Lewis was playing ,Broncos have more injuries than they are letting on about though

Parker probably won't play ,Hannant out

I'm hearing ya, as long as our blokes put in and stay focussed and don't edgar britt themselves at the first sign of adversity, well fingers crossed anyway.

The only Miracle we need is for the score attendant at Leichhardt not to show up!!!!

As someone else said I expect the result do depend on the Broncos vs. Panthers game. If the Broncos win, we'll win. If the Broncos lose, we'll lose.
