Zac Taylor absolutely stinks. When are we going to get a defense that can actually tackle? Honestly NFL football is good defense and strong offensive line. That's it. And the Bengals suck at both. All that said, Joe Burrow looks like a superstar. I haven't seen a Bengal throw it as crisply since early days of carson palmer, and Burrow is a lot smarter.
Can someone show the Bengals how to tackle? Even Mitchell Moses would do a better job out there.
Some of the tackling today was simply embarrassing, but the play calling calling and play design is horrible. Taylor needs to go.
Yep, it's a shame they didn't make the call in the offseason. I just see nothing offensively and that's supposedly his game. But coach is a motivator and inspires confidence, you see it in Mike Tomlin. I reckon players look at Taylor and thing, 'how is this guy a head coach?'. Last week was really weak not going for it on the last play, Burrow was killing it. I thought that before the missed field goal. Give the kid a shot at winning the game after he did everything to get them down there. They play at a miserably slow pace when Burrow is high processing speed and great with spread offense and lots of options. Just rubbish from Taylor. Last year I thought the opposite on offense, all we had were two good backs and he rarely played two set back backfields. he just can't adapt whatever game plan he's trying to develop. A.J. Green also needs more time coming back, he looks way off the pace.
But damn Burrow is good.
I wouldn't sack Taylor until the offseason now. But I'd try to find trading partners for either Bernard or one or two of our receivers and try to stack our offensive line. I can't believe we went into this season without much change to our horrendous line. Bengals keep on bungling.
Mate, Burrow will get hurt of be totally gunshy by season end, there is just no protection. It was nice seeing a Bengals quarterback extend and make plays today, but I hate the hits he is taking.
I know, it's brutal. I'm just watching his eyes to see when he switches mentally. You can see he's still got hope at the moment, but you also see moments of recognition and disbelief. We've got something here, I just think the bengals made a major mistake in not investing big time in offensive line.
I couldnt agree more, Burrow was excellent yesterday in a team that would have the most useless OL in the game.I was watching it live and Burrrow is exactly what we need but he needs much better protection than he is getting and a better defence when he is off the field
