I watched the Tamba Bay v Bengals game, Bengals defence looked quite good.

Anyone watch the 1st ep of Hard Knocks?

How good was Jerry pouring salt on his McGriddle.
Dude is worth billions and still loves him some McDonalds.

Loved McCarthys Mojo moment segment on Hard Knocks. Really clever coaching and you can see the players buying in and having fun.

I also was really impressed with Mac Jones, He could be the best QB in this class. His control in the huddle and his quick and decisive releases are very impressive. Like a young Drew Brees.

not too confident this year for my pats, still taken the public holiday off on the second monday of feb, i'm glad we have a decent back up to newton (potentially) but we are still lacking in the WR area that one game breaker, asiasi should come along to plug the gap gronk left us as a legit option, but i think without edelman we will really struggle offensively
I'm sure we will defend our way into the post-season this year but probably on the back of a wildcard and bow out after that.
as much as it pains me i do hope brady goes back to back again and retires on top and doesn't go one season too long

Still a bit early to know one way or the other but Algolhor and Bourne at WR should help. Also Henry and jonu Smith will seriously improve the TE.

End of the day we are a smash mouth team. It'll be Michel, Harris and Stevenson pounding all day long.

Double tight end sets will also feature.

WR while important won't be the deciding factor.

it takes away from Jones' strength though not having those amazing WR, if and when he is the starting QB, i think it's still newtons time for now and hoyer and stidham is probablys till ahead of him despite the depth charts saying otherwise, could be totally wrong there, only saw the highlights
i agree we will be a smash it up the guts team again this year with the odd throw to keep the D stretched
I think we will be a while away from superbowl champs again, even conference titles could be a few years away
still will be more competitive than the tigers though haha

With all the whining going on in the main forums, I'm sorry to add laments here. But, Bengals draft is looking real bengals. Got a WR who is having trouble catching, a 2nd round lineman who is turning into more of a project and our promising third rounder is out for the season with knee injury.

Meanwhile in preseason (and I know it's just preseason) we still can't cover Tight ends and we look good until third downs, while offence just looks like the same Zac taylor 'system' of giving the punt team a huge amount of game time.

Please, please, please let me be wrong. At least our kicker looks promising.

Watched some of the jags pre season game today

Very much in a rebuild as well, like Tigers

Lawrence looks good

Allen is a terrible QB so I still think we will have a better offense than last year once Burrow is back, at least until he gets injured lol

I'm taking preseason with a grain of salt and trying to remain positive, as I sit here in my Gio Bengals jersey. Boy are we going to miss Gio as well.

Yeah, you're a bit of an optimist. Gio jersey is a great choice. When he got illegally hit in that 2015 Shitsburgh playoff game I was physically shaking with anger. Still can't believe no penalty was given. They changed the rule after that hit to make it even more illegal but that hit was a penalty before the rule was changed.

I'm definitely an optimist, that is the beauty of sport for me.
