Well fellow Tiger supporters for all those, like me, looking forward to putting 2013 behind us if the Knights game is any indication we will at least win the wooden spoon after trying so hard to win it last year.

Such a fast talented side such a dismal pathetic excuse for tackling.
I just wanted the boys to play well, didn't think we'd win it but just something to give us and them encouragement.

They delivered absolutely nothing other than dreadful pathetic girlie tackles, dropped balls, ill discipline and non existent communication and organisation.
Have we trained at all this year?

We have a long way to go boys and girls before we can look forward anything resembling a reasonable year.

Oh piss off.

I mean seriously - does it need a new thread?

The reality of the 9's is this. It's a format that no one in the competition has played before, which leaves a margin for trial and error. Potter said from day one the competition is a 'distraction' and an "inconvenience" which IMO reflects how well we prepared for the tournament. Some of the one on one misses and reads looked concerning, but I sincerely doubt that will transfer into the full competition.

It's funny how quickly things change on here, we beat Penrith in a trial and we're finals bound, we get done in the 9's and all of a sudden we've won the wooden spoon in February.

you'd think we have lost a semi final of the NRL.
Do we have to regurgitate the 9's

TigerMoz I can understand you being disappointed and most are myself included, but this is not a 13 a side format , there was a lot of 20's and inexperienced players , but I still think there might be an attitude issue like I said on the other thread

Nines definitely showed up our mistakes which then led to poor decisions in defense and a bit of panic.
I am more concerned about our ability to lock the ball up in tackles.

Theres no excuse for the lack of effort put in by the team in the defence side, it was pitafull. So much for having Kidwell as a coach for defence, maybe he hasnt started yet.

EXACTLY

Potter said on record multiple times that they hadn't really done any training for it. He was not a fan of the 9s and obviously didn't want to take part it in (but was forced to). Why would we waste time training for this when we need all the training we can get for the real tournament?
I'll reserve my judgement until rd 5

I think the fact that this was already covered extensively in the trials and 9's thread probably annoyed a few people bringing it up again.

btw Payton was the coach for the tournament.

I'm still optimistic our top 20 can compete. The problem is a good chunk are still struggling with injuries.

Also, we DEFINITELY did not field the best team we could have. If we had Nufo, Simona and Brooks in the team things would have gone very differently and you all know it

He gave his opinion ,others gave theirs

Sounds like a Forum to me

Did we not win a trial game the week before?

Melbourne Storm didn't even make it out of the group, Roosters got knocked out in the QF? You think they're worried? Let's give it a few weeks maybe before we jump off the bridge…

Nines meant nothing….Potter probably told the boys not to play to hard so we don't get any injuries (look how that worked out lol)

Most of the lower teams and the struggling teams ($$ wise) put out there best teams Eels,Sharks,Titans Ect ect and the teams high up and more financially stable didn't really try hard. Melbourne left out there big 3,Easts left out Maloney,Sbw,jwh. Ect Ect.
