The ARL Commission really need to look at the origin period. No game this afternoon basically gives AFL a free kick at a time when the soccer has just finished. The competition really loses momentum through this period and it detracts from the overall product. Last nights game was so boring which tends to be the way games go without the stars.
Next TV rights they need to block out a 3 week period where they play origin over successive weeks. All origin players are exempt from playing club football. At least it limits the disruption to a short three week period.
