no tackle, no play

Looking at the stats section of us vs storm

most players are tackling above 90%, maybe 1 missed tackle. Yet players numbered under 6 (halves doing good in tackling).
Jahreem Bula, 100% tackle efficency, 3 tackles
David Nofo, 57% tackle efficency, 4 tackles, 2 missed and one ineffective tackle.

Watching the game Warbrick slipped past our wing 4 times, and I thought it was the Tupou/Kepaoa side. That positioning though is on the coach and the team, as they had to move in leaving wide open Warbrick.

Warbrick, what a damn name.

Tupou missing 1 tackle makes these stats look crap. Clearly though we need to improve our center/wing defense.

Kepoa should not be in the centres. He is not mobile enough and his defensive decisions. caused a lot of topou's problems.

Tackle efficiency stats for backs can often be deceiving, especially for centres and wingers.

To’a, Kepaoa and Tupou got carved up by Hughes, Smith and Warbrick, yet a lot of their attempts didn’t go down as missed tackles because they didn’t get a hand on them.

Our backrowers miss or complete a lot of ineffective tackles as well.
The centres are not good defensively, but the problems begin inside of them.

Yep, and aside from Klemmer very few of our middles seem to know what inside pressure is. They move forward and stop, rather than shift with the play. Twal is particularly bad for this which is why it annoys me when people talk about his defensive stat's.
I'm not a massive Nofo fan but he was right when he was attributing blame to those inside him (though wrong to do so publicly).

I don't really follow NRL.com stat's, I usually look at fox sports, just because they use vapour media's stat's which is what SuperCoach works off.
Anyway, the no hands isn't a miss thing is completely false, for fox sports stat's at least.
But efficiency and missed tackle stats are in general shit as not all misses are the same. Eg Sometimes the point is outside pressure to turn a player back towards the centre. Often a missed/ineffective tackle but the right play.
