No talent in lower grades !

Tim Sheens would not utilise the talent he had at his disposal in the Tigers lower grade sides at any cost ,but as we know would use medicore and under performing players every week. Now that 2 teams in the Weststigers group have made it though to the grand final there can be no better way to justify the sacking of this coach and his boys club goodbye and farewell !

Our failings this year had little to do with lack of talent, more so with Sheens failing to best utilize that talent. This weekend only highlights his short comings even more. Another nail just entered his coffin. It's time to go Timmy!

It's a big step up from NYC and NSWCUP but I'd love to have a coach that'd take a risk and use those players if we have any injuries or have to drop starting players if form is down.

… May just find another Adam Reynolds, who will jump at the oppurtunity and make the most of it.
Absolutely killed and kept Hodkinson out of the starting #13 this year,

Andrew Everingham, another one….

Imagine if we have a gun player who will kill it @ top level floating around in the lower grades.
No doubt we do...

Why hasn't Josh Davis played first grade yet?

Dont you mean josh reynolds?

As soon as both sides made the final this exact thought crossed my mind. How can Sheens justify there's no depth at the club yet both reserve sides make the GF?! It's crazy

Rather than bring up players when hit by injury he just shuffles the decks. My mind just can't deal with his ignorance and arrogance any more!

Sorry to be a dick but keating is the one who kept hodkinson out of the 17, not reynolds.

Im sure the reason you dont see this happening is the fact we are pushing the limit of the salary cap.

As far as I'm aware….
The 2012 starting halves partnership was Hodkinson & Keating...
Then TH got injured & Reynolds stepped up to replace and went so well that they kept it that way for the rest of the season even after TH recovered?

With respect Snakey … That's utter rubbish.
I'd back a bloke who's been around the cream of rugby league talent for three decades as a coach to have a slightly better handle on who is ready for the top grade, and when. This absolute myth that Sheens doesn't give up and comers a go is wearing horribly thin.
Do the names Tedesco, Groat, Koriobette, Lawrence (whilst still at school), Marshall, Dwyer, BMM, Woods, Sironen ... mean anything ... I mean he's not completely dopey.
But please don't try and use the lower grade success as some kind of political tool to further a shoddy viewpoint.

The view could also be taken that given the success of the lower grades in 2012 the club has a bright future in 2013\. You could also say that sheens in no small way has contributed to the lower grade success, especially in the development of the coaching staff. I don't think anyone can disagree with this view when you consider the development we have seen with Todd this year. But I am sure someone will have an alternative view cause that's what forums are really for.

I understand where you're coming from, Sheens is quite heavily involved with the youngsters and exactly what Snod said, he's brought up a lot of players over the years who have blossomed nicely. I feel the guns we have in lower grades are smashing it in their division, but aren't quite ready for the pressure of FG. See Koro for example, he absolutely killed it in NYC and is also doing the same in FG, but is still a little rusty on the edges. And Sheens has brought him up at the right time, any sooner I think he would have missed the bar and this affects their confidence for future appearances.
So it's a little tough on Sheens to blame him for "misusing" younger guys.

Yes, I think youre right.
Its a juggling act.
Im no expert on the cap, but I believe you start with your main squad that take up the majority of your cap, you start using juniors ….they add to it....and your cap is stretched.

Agree ink…that is why you see some players NRL time limited cause it triggers an increase...think humble was a good example of this
