No Tedessco in the Baby blues...seems strange

Given they picked 50 players in the squad, most seem far less credentialed than Tedessco.

Others with NRL experience seem to be picked.

Others coming back from injury seem to be included.

He is under 20 like the rest.

There seems to be no logical reason for his omission.

Not surprising he's not named.
He's played half a game of football in the last 12 months - apart from this forum just about nobody else even knows who he is.
If he comes back and kills it he'll get the recognition he deserves.

Not enough exposure perhaps?

He only played half a season in Toyota cup, then missed an entire year.

Granted most of us see him as the next coming of Billy Slater though.

Pretty sure it is because he is currently injured ,and would not be able to attend the camp .

The camp is for 3 days at the end of this month

Siro is just as injured as Tedesco. He's still recovering from a shoulder reco iirc

I'm sure his famous surname has nothing to do with that…..

I'd much rather him stay with us allowing him to focus on his rehab and potentially challenging for that #1 shirt.

It also wouldn't surprise me if Potter wants to see a bit more of him given the huge wraps everyone has on him at the club. There wouldn't be much footage available of him, unlike with young Siro where there'd be a bit more tape available + a few more options in his favoured positions.

Ayshford attended a few years back while in rehab, he did nothing physical….theres a lot more to it than just training

Is he definitely a new south welshman?

I think you'll find he went to schoolies at the Gold Coast which makes him eligible to play for Queensland

It is very surprising, im guessing you dont follow under age footy, there are a number of injured players, many of which are yet to play even NYC.
Even one of ours was injured for almost all SG Ball has yet to play Nyc and has been named. another is currently injured and yet to play NYC. Brooks and moses. Who outside this forum has heard of them.
santi also committed to italy so guess that rules that reason out as well.

I've heard a rumour that his Mum and Dad are massive Qld supporters

To those who think no one knows who James Tedesco is, he was being courted by 4-5 NRL teams last season before we signed him

Many people who are in know , know who he is

And thats all that matters

If he gets the opportunity to play the whole season , many people on here are going to think he is the best thing since sliced bread and by 2015 will be talking about him as the next NSW fullback

I put a lot of faith in your judgement, and I too am excited by the prospect of an injury free run for him,and the rest of the team for that matter.

Quote from SMH "High-performance manager Wayne Portlock played an integral role in putting the squad together."
What did he do? All he did was pick players that have already played for NSW at age 16 or 18\. …. there is your squad.

Obviously he has no idea. Tedesco is still only 19, has made his 1st grade debut and is in the NRL top 25 squad...that really shows he has something special.

How many of the others selected are in the top 25 and made their debut ?

You could be right Happy...he might be a Queenslander.

Your man Moltzen definitely knows who he is.
