Nofa stood down from Leadership Group

Nofo said,“In the first half our A and B defenders didn’t get up to put pressure than [sic] Moses [Mbye] was getting caught so left 3 on 2 for myself and Jet [James Roberts]. In second half we got up in one line of defence and if you watched 2nd half D’d very well.”

Who were the A and B defenders which Nofo is referring to? Why did we have to wait till the second half to fix this problem? It sounds very amateurish to me,

Looked like Seyfarth and LL to me on one of the tries that Nofa looks to be referring to. Maybe Seyfarth was actually hooked. Could have been LL and Mbye.

So who are the A, B defenders?

I assume Nofo must be C?

B would be the centre?

A would be the (edge forward or a halves player)?

It seems one short to me? I.e. but we have run out letters🤦

A and B are simply 1st and 2nd defenders from the ruck so depends where the tackle was.

Is our club toxic?

Performances says yes.

I’d say they all have to go, board ceo and coach.

So we get smoking gun evidence of complete incompetence and unprofessionalism from one of our most senior players, and your answer is to sack everyone but the players?

Brother please remember who you’re quoting

Hardly smoking gun or nug gnikoms; a lot of angles here and although no comment from the club doesn’t give any of us free reign.

Keen to see how it’s handled.

I think a lot of people know Nofaluma is 'close' with the chairman...

And that is why he got his absolutely ridiculously long deal...

Despite all our 'moneyball' people like Hartigan saying 4.5 years for a bog average winger was nuts.

Also why he can't be dropped...

This is why we are a joke.

Dropped for who? 4 weeks ago Nofo was the only winger in the top 30.

Hoffman...Talau...Roberts...we had enough to cover wing. But that does not even matter.

Mate, you are missing the much bigger issue...it would not have mattered who we picked, **we had to send a message.** One of your most senior players turns up drunk...he can't complete training...

Everyone sees that. Everyone knows he has 'special treatment'....

At that moment you have two choices:

**1. Drop him regardless of his 150**....put it in the media and tell everyone that we have standards and it does not matter who you are, or what game...turn up not ready and you are out.

result = establish standards + show every young kid in the club there is a line NO ONE can cross.

OR

**2. Cover it up...pick him...**

result = send a message that there are different rules for different players...basically show that anything the coach says from now in public is a joke, as you all just saw that there are no standards....

We opted for option 2. We have lowered the bar to the point we are a joke of a club with no standards.

It had to be option 1 we took...instead, we took option 2 and it is symptomatic of why we are losers.

pretty hard to disagree with that logic.

The reason things don’t get fixed until halftime is because we are coached badly.

It’s clear they are afraid to talk up and go against what they are told to - they don’t play what is infront of them they are very robotic.

How many times this year have we seen tactic 1 in defense used first half and 2nd half its very different.

Whoever does the video reviews and tatics of oppositions should be punted because 1st halves this year have been atrocious.

Clearly if Nofa was asking them to slide they werent listening to him. I think Nofa has lost the ear of his teammates.

Not usually how it works mate, the push needs to start with the inside defenders sliding across which begins the process.
Nofa is right in this instance IMO and this has been an issue with our defence for years. Our inside defenders often do not work hard enough. Nofa is far from perfect but there is a much larger problem with our defence than just him.

We are at risk of not making 9th. People must be accountable for that. Oh I miss the halcyon days of 9th place

Let me put it this way, if you were an inside defender, would you leave your winger high and dry.? Yes it has been an issue for years, about the same number of years Nofa has been there. I agree Nofa is right about what is happening but we both know that. The point is why. And the evidence is unwrapped to some extent with the leadership group pleased with Nofa’s removal.

I wonder who made the call to pick him. It was noted that the celebrations were already planned. Was it taken out of Madge's hands?

The direction the club is heading we won’t even make Dr Knickerbocker's number 9 on the ladder this year. Sad times

Really not too sure. I feel it’s a bit closer to home and has a personal connection with a recently released player that found a home at the Bunnies this year.

Aimed at about 6-7 clubs Tigers ,Raiders ,Dragons , Sharks , Warriors , Broncos and to a small degree Rabbits ...Reynolds

Possibly? I must admit I am reading tea leaves here, but given the apparent push from higher ups at the club to resign him, maybe that line was pushed again in regard to his 150th game?

Nothing would surprise with this club anymore.

Whoever it was should fall on their sword immediately...because someone has basically said we have no standards.

My biggest concern is Madge seems to be on the outer with the players 'and' most of the board...his one ally being chairman Lee, and the coach is likely just a yes man at this point.

Lee is basically a fan running the joint. Anyone who thought 4.5 years for a bog average winger was a good idea should not be running a footy club...

And, yes, I know there was 'pressure'...so give him 2.5 years, not 4.5...better still, let him walk and sign JAC and tell the fans we want the best...

Mind-blowingly stupid...

And people wonder why we are 3rd last and on track for the spoon in 22...

Someone explain to Nofo that the easiest way to score tries is to run straight. He needs a fresh start this guy, he has gone stale...
