Nofa stood down from Leadership Group

I hate seeing players working to white ant a coach to force him out. If Madge was to go, they should clear the deck of players as well. Just to show that true accountability has been measured out and to send a message to those left that they don’t have the power to decide who goes and who stays.

I get why people are upset that it happened, but to be honest I'm more upset about it being dredged up and leaked to the media. Got a dreadful feeling we are about to be torn apart by toxic infighting.

If people are deliberately leaking stuff to the press to undermine Madge, or to undermine the board, or to undermine players they don't get along with, they are a disgrace. Do we really want to go down the Abbott v Turnbull and Rudd v Gillard path?

Hard to tear apart a dead carcass

How many times have you tried to tear apart a dead carcass?

Or a live carcass for that matter?

Decayed carcass even

There’s no evidence of players white anting the coach. But even if they were and the club axed them as well, they’d get picked up by other clubs. They won’t suffer.

Madge is right saying he needs blokes who take accountability for their games playing for Tigers

We need men ....accountible men

Well we have narrowed down the search by one.

Hmmm this happened 5 weeks ago. How long since you reckon all these Chammas articles have started coming out?

I reckon we have found our rat.

Nah earlier. First one was Anzac Day. Pretty much on the day of the thrashing by Manly.

You gotta laugh or you would cry. This club is such a mess. Good luck Sheensy, you're going to need it.

Sheens reporting directly to the CEO is all you really need to know.

The CEO that everyone wants to be fired. Yeah that’s ideal.

No evidence agreed but there seems to be chatter building about discontent. I don’t want to see Madge go under those circumstances and I want to see players playing for the club and the fans and earning their paycheck.

Reading the article is sounds like the players are getting sick of doing there job... They are just whinging and think if the coach goes another one will come in and they still get paid. What Madge said in the PC about finding MEN is 1000% correct and they just don't like to hear it. These few players that have a problem with it need to GO and ASAP.

Same coach who picked a bloke who was drunk at training....it is hard to expect the players to have standards when the coach has none.

Madge just spits out rhetoric...men...ebbs...flows...men...but he himself has zero standards. No way Bellamy or Robinson pick a bloke too drunk to complete a session.

All respect gone...no wonder no one is listening to him.

Interestingly Nofa was moved to the left that game and Roberts took his spot.
Now that Mamalo is a specialist left winger I’d say Nofo’s mortgage on the wing is slipping.
Side note. Our 2018 losing run started when Nofo was moved back on to the right wing after Thompson got shifted to the left.
Nofa didn’t feature in a game before the Manly game and was only brought in due to the injury to Tui Lohea.
Maybe our last coach had a hunch something wasn’t right there.

The only issue with this is, Nofa didn’t throw MBye under the bus. His quote mentioned MBye but it wasn’t directed at him.

A + B defenders = Luciano and the guy inside him.

So not MBye then.

The second coming...

Storm in a teacup.

Nofo was hungover once and stripped of leadership. OK, not really a big deal though. We won that week, if everyone recalls, and we won the week after as well, so there wasn't a negative outcome from missing one training session.

The other part of the story - "discontent amongst the players about Maguire". So there bloody should be discontent, they should all be quaking in their boots about what the coach is going to do. They should all be upset that the coach has put them on notice. They should not be comfortable or happy with their performances. They should not be buddies with the coach.

A significant number of players, especially some experienced ones who should know and perform better, are letting the side down and will be on their way out of the club. And yes they would understandably be experiencing discontent.

Don't let yourselves get all wound up by a story stitched together, Frankenstein-like, a month after a non-event. Half the article is spent quoting Wayne Bennett, and Bennett is referring to the Broncos, not Tigers. Bennett spends every press conference having disguised digs at the Broncos, he's still bitter over being dumped.

I only get wound up when such an average player gets such a huge contract extension .. we all know why now not a storm in a tea cup that one !!!

Not Mbye. As I’ve said earlier the Souths halves were allowed to run too deep into our defensive line which creates huge space on the outside and leaves the halves , wingers and centres way too much to do. It is actually not always Nofo’s fault that he is up against so many two on ones. Good footy players ice those moments because it’s muscle memory for them.

Watch the Souths tries (and disallowed ones) again on NRL.com.

The top teams have second rowers that race up and belt the living daylights out of halves that play that deep into the line. Our second rowers are just soft, and good for nothing except the odd highlight with the ball. We must get Finucane and Sua or someone with some mongrel about them.

Once the trouble makers are weeded out, our Club wont suffer any longer and we'll just have blokes that are happy to play for Us.
