Nofo back?

Daily telegraph late mail is reporting that Nofo will play NRL this weekend with Hoeter dropping back to NSW Cup. Hope so. Will be great to see the beast in action again.

Would have kept Hoeter in the side and moved Lawrence back to the bench or is it time to face reality and Chris back to NSW cup. With Simona in the wings and returning from injury, I reckon I know where our future lies in the centres.

I think it will be Lawrence dropping to the bench, would be stupid if it was otherwise. Hoeter should not be held accountable for last weeks horrid performance, as a whole the team did not perform and dropping Hoeter would be unfair on Taylors behalf. He didn't play too bad up against possibly the best centre/wing pairing in the competition.

@Sabre yes yes, it is very hard to hide the fact that i have an obsession for Tedesco, Nofzilla, Tuapau, Brooksy and Moses.

I wouldn't have minded Nofo getting another run under his belt in State Cup to be honest.

Boyd went straight into FG after his injury and had a blinder

You comparing an experienced SOO player to a bloke with less than 50 games

Nofo is a fantastic player but it's not like its going to greatly change our game. However, if we do manage to click into gear then there is greater chance of putting points on the board as Nofo can find the line like Charlie Sheens on a lads weekend in Columbia.

On this point, where will Nofo be playing? I know he has been playing centre in NSW Cup but that wouldn't necessarily mean they are planning to move him there permanently?

I would prefer to see Lawrence moved to bench but then our bench will lack punch (which has been an issue). Might just be easier to move Hoeter to NSW Cup this weekend.

One of the earlier posters was right in saying don't expect miracles if he plays. I would expect he plays on the wing with Kev shifting into centre.

The pleasing part is that once Simona comes back we will pretty much have our best backline on the park (with the exception of Patty this could be our backline for the next 10yrs).

It will also allow us time to assess the Lawrence as a backrower/utility bench player. I thought he added something when he played off the bench vs the Dogs.

I thought Lawrence had his best game in years against the Rorters.

Man he is getting it large atm…...

I think Lawrence has been pretty good all year especially when you remember back to his form last year. Our problems come from using two very inexperienced halves and second rowers but fingers crossed it will reap rewards further down the track.

Of course the problem Lawrence has through no fault of his own is a big fat juicy back ended contract and that keeps him in the spot light that other players seem to avoid

He was up against a second rower against the chooks, I would be worried if he didn't have a good game.
