I think he is a brat and a diva.

He's getting his way now so it'll be more smiley faces and chest thumping than angry faces and hanging his head in shame in intrust super cup.

Needs to man up and defend harder and stop being an entitled child throwing their toys out the cot.

Don't think 3 paragraphs could be more wrong..

Agree. Running harder and more often then anyone on the field is hardly sulking in reserve grade.

I can see that Nofo has some flaws in his game but he really put in when I saw him playing ISP.

Totally agree. 3 paragraphs that are the opposite of my opinion.

OK so you think he is a good defender?

He is average.
5 or 6 out of 10 at best.
He is terrible when it comes to turning and chasing.
He gets caught out even to this day on things he was getting caught out on 5 years ago.
Hasn't improved defensively in his whole career.
I put it down to two things. He has peaked and won't improve or he is just lazy.
At least you see with someone like Brooks who has worked hard on getting better defensively. What's nofo's excuse?

Finally a logical post in this thread.
Thank you!

100%

Sure he runs the ball hard but defence is just as important.
These guys are fan boys and can't admit the guy is average.

The new guys in Fonua and Thompson are way more rounded as players.

I’m with geo on this one. He was a good contributor in nsw cup in the games I saw.

Nofo needed a slap it worked all the players learned that no one is a walk up start to the side.Similar to the situation with Latrell at the Rorters he needed a slap now he's SOO player

I like how both Ivan and Nofo have handled the situation.

Nofo isn't perfect but he has been solid since coming back into the team.

Our defence in years past was awful across the park and of course that means that the edges will leak massive amounts of points.

Concedes at least 1 try a week due to bad reads, I’ve also never known any other winger to take so many intercepts and NOT score. But, he signed a long term deal so he’ll be a part of our side for a while yet

He certainly didnt concede a try last week.I know there was a try down his side but the try was scored because of abysmal defence inside him(MCK).Many of the bad reads you talk about are inside him and he ends marking 2-3 players, certainly he is not a brilliant defender but nowhere near the liabilty you paint him as

Yeah but you like to run around here disagreeing with every one.

Therefore I disregard your opinion.
Facts are facts Mr naysayer

Don't confuse facts with opinion..

Okay, to elaborate…
In the intrust games I watched....
He appeared to be sulking. Evident by his body language and demeanour.

That is the facts.
The rest is opinion but I think the general consensus will agree he needs to improve in defence.

Cheer up Geo.

What you claim to have witnessed in ISP is also your opinion Demps. To be honest, Nofo doesn't seem to be the type of player to sulk. I always thought he was a genuine, committed Tigers player but, again that is my opinion/ impression. Two things are certain;
1\. He is a talented runner who knows his way to the try line.
2\. He still has major problems with defensive reads.

Although I admit that some of the defensive right side frailties of the Tigers defence are due to mistakes inside him.

I tend to agree with you here demps Think it describes him quite well.

His situational awareness in defence was at fault. He dropped back for the kick and then failed to adjust up and in when this didn't eventuate. It's almost a given every week.

Seems it's a very debatable as others seem to disagree…

All discussion tho.
I don't think nofo is anything special

I don't know that he had time to adjust, the fullback was not covering so he had to make a decision to stay or go, and he stayed. Had he gone he may well have found himself in no-man's land if the kick when through and isn't that what we've been complaining about?

Tui has to take some heat for it.

Don't know about the brat and diva bit Demps, but he definitely wasn't happy about playing in ressies and his body language showed that to me too.

Some call that a sulk, others maybe just say not happy. Either way to me it was negative body language which I don't like for whatever reason, it's not good for the boys playing around you. The others haven't seemed like that? Fonua really impressed me with work ethic, team spirit etc while doing his time in the ISP.

Anyway David himself has said that in hindsight it was a reality check that he needed.

Something maybe still not right with him (maybe he is feeling some heat about defence) but he is better than the other winger options we have.
