After reading the article about Corey Payne, for some reason i thought of how he cleaned up Teo and it got me thinking about all the good fighters the game has seen. So just looking for your nominations to piece together a team, would also like the reason how u know your nomination can fight.

Here's a few to start.

Anthony Mundine…obvious reason
Billy Johnston......boxed in the off season when he played, fighting for the Aussie title when it actually was the Aussie title
Les Davidson........widely know to be able to handle himself. Iced Jason Stevens
Carl Webb............former Golden Gloves champ who used to whip grown men when he was a kid
Craig Greenhill.......Knickname of Knuckles says it all
David Furner..........Known to be good and his 3 punch demolition of Webke is good enough for me, or was that Kevin Campion, either way both can fight.
Mal Maninga.......did great in 2 exhibition fights
John Hopaote........obvious reason
Solomom Haumono....obvious reasons
Monty Betham...........destroyed that bulldogs backrower and turned pro when he retired from league
Terry Hill..................widely known to be a thrasher. Gave it to Paul Harragon with ease
Daniel Mortimer........If Danny Green says he's got the goods and is the best at Parra, thats good enough for me
Scott Prince.........Brisbane trainer reported that after working with both Prince and Mundine, Prince was naturally better, now thats a scary thought.

Only time ive seen someone else refer to tezza as a fighter, most thought he was just all mouth.

Lance Thompson had a few goes in the Ring.
Tommy Raudonikis and Greg Oliphant went at it for charity

Robbie v Watts was good….....

I'd pay a lot to see ..........Robbie v Ennis in the ring........

Gordon Tallis-I remember going with my missus to the broncs v panthers when he floored either Shane Rodney or Ben Ross.It was a an awesome sight

Ian Roberts- Even though he bats for the other team he sure knew how to throw them

Brett White- In the last couple of years he's knocked out Ross & Price with both of them missing the following week with concussion because of it

Whatuira- Obvious reasons

Some good nominations there. It will be hard to actually pick a 17\. Ill pencil this one in for now, but hopefully we'll get some more good ones.

10.L. Davidson
9\. M. Betham
8\. B. White

paul sironen- he could throw em

dave furner-(nominated by roach as 1 of the toughest thats good enough he floored webke in origin)

steve bowden- smashed broadhurst great streetfighter

mark broadhurst - NZ BOXER

JOHN DAVIDSON -BALMAIN WINGER KNOWN TO BE ABLE TO THROW EM AND KNOCKED DOWN 2 SHARKS PLAYERS BY HIMSELF

bob cooper LIKE BOWDEN GOOD OLD FASHIONED FIGHTER

Geez that Origin where Hoppa took on two maroons at once and they more or less gave up after three seconds is classic!

Matt Sing and someone. They both went at him two on one and he didn't miss a beat. They shat themselves.

Was watching an U/19's state of origin a few years back when an all in erupted.

Will Chambers smashed Jarred Hayne - then flattened a big second rower - then took out the hooker before turning his attention back to Hayne. He then spent the rest of the match running around looking for someones head to punch in.

Never seen him blue in firsts but he can definetly go…..

I remember hearing that Dan Stains was a karate expert, but he got cleaned up by Solomon Haumono in a fight one game.

I reckon Mundine would be upset he can't make the halves in the pug's team - since he is the greatest sportsman of any kind ever and all…

Paul Sironen? Can u clarify how u know he could throw them?

Dont agree with Blocker. He was plenty tough but he couldnt really fight. I remember him sparring and he didnt have much idea, but certainly didnt take a backward step.

Broadhurst and Bowden are very good nominations though.
