North QLD Cowboys NRL premiers in 2015

Yeah Tanginoa is a second rower, yeah??

Yeah sorry your right Demps I get him and the bloke from Souths who had a similar name who played on the wing mixed up and Simon is right Winterstein would still be the pick

Doesn't change anything in my argument

I would take Moga and Linnett over both our current centres in a heart beat

Meh..I dont see Moga any better than Simona….and Linnett is solid i would hope that this year Lawrence gets back to his best and his best is far better.

All their backline is solid but IMO we have the better movers and far more speed with Teddy,Simona and Nofa.

There isnt much in it….their strength is their front row,Taumololo and JT.

Sims is a loss but Granville could be the ace....why they let go of Seggy has me baffled.

We are all hoping that Rowdy gets back to his best 😛ray:

But unfortunately I don't think all the 😛ray: will help him

I 😛ray: that I am wrong

And while Im at it….i feel we have an edge as both of our halves are attacking guns and therefore we should be more dangerous both sides of the field.

You cover JT.....which isnt easy and u have the Cowboys measure.

1 JT can run rings around both Moses and Brooks combined

Idk about Moga, but we're comparing a side who could have easily been pre-lim finalists last yr with a team who lost 8 of their last 9 or whatever it was. We could hold our own with Noffa, Simona and Tedesco, they have us covered everywhere else. Lawrence is done, I love him, but as a player his best days are long gone. The man is a shadow.

At present maybe, but _their_ time will come very soon and _his_ time is rapidly moving on.

But he's proven himself, they haven't. They're on their way (at least Brooks is) but there's a long way to go.

Good point, I guess it's all still just potential as far as Brooks and Moses are concerned, but I'm hopeful that potential will be realised sooner rather than later. They're going to need to mature quickly with the inexperienced squad we have for next season. Being in such key positions, it's sink or swim for them.

Our backline is so much better than NQ.
Not even debatable.

They have JT…
& some good rep forwards.

Over-all IMO, I think we have the better team.

JT - Farah, surely they're in the same class

Too many paint fumes again Demps

1\. Tedesco
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Linnett
4\. Moga
5\. Feldt
6\. Moses
7\. Thurston
8\. Scott
9\. Farah
10\. Woods
11\. Cooper
12\. Akauola
13\. Taumalolo

14\. Taupau
15\. Hannant
16\. Tamou
17\. Morgan

I've got 7 of 17 for us.
They're a much better side on paper but we seem to get through them a bit more often. 8 times out of 10 at full strength I'd say they win, but at full potential I think we'd take them.
Like another poster said, it's comparing a near-legitimate top 4 team to a bottom 4 team at the moment.

Look if it was me I'd make two changes to strengthen that side

Thurston at 6 , Brooks at 7

And I would have Ethan Lowe for Akauola in the back row

Lowe is a 80 minute player

I preferred Moses as from what little I've seen he has more X-factor and game breaking ability, but I wouldn't argue either way.
I wouldn't take Lowe though, maybe move Taumalolo to 11 and Cooper to defend the middle, but Akauola is a big target on the fringes for a quality ball player. Taupau and Tamou could both play back row if necessary too.

I really don't think they have what it takes to go all the way , i know it's early Days but can't see the big hype everyone was thinking.

Your writing off a bloody good side FT

In 2013 at mid season they were running last after a loss to us and still made the semis

Lets hope that Souths and the Roosters smash themselves to a standstill tomorrow

They will make the 8 , but not go all the way IMO . It's not easy winning those big games in Sydney mate.
Robert Lui is woeful , have a look at the last Knights Try , he basically let BJ Leilua a free passage , lazy defending .
