I would have been up the road with mum we used to live in a unit above a bakery which I used to get up in the morning and sneak downstairs to get a snack off the staff. We used to eat at a restaurant I think called The Astoria or something like that. It was a thin and long and had booths running up both walls and it was cheap or we wouldn’t have been there. I remember mum would let me pick whatever I wanted and I’d get a T bone the size of a BBQ plate on this pissy little plate with some chips of course. I can barely remember it’s one of my earliest memories 4-5 ish maybe? Good times growing up in the X.Funny eh, I could have been at the next table.
That was a staple and how big were they
I remember for quite a while the Wagon Wheel ads used to say, "and still only 5 cents" or something along those lines, but neglected to mention that they were getting smaller and smaller. That was a staple and how big were they
Unfortunately. I didn’t think one of our best.

Yeah when I seen that 5c it was ringing bells and I wasnt sure why till you said that.I remember for quite a while the Wagon Wheel ads used to say, "and still only 5 cents" or something along those lines, but neglected to mention that they were getting smaller and smaller.
Thinking back on it now, it was probably one of the earliest and most noticeable examples of "shrinkflation" that comes to mind in an era when the term had not yet been coined.
It's currently at a Service Station on the highway either just north or south of Gympie
in 2009 she went up for sale, and was promptly snapped up by Matilda Fuel Services, owned today by Puma Energy Australia. She got a new lease on life in 2011 when she was relocated to the Matilda fuel station at Kybong, south of Gympie. And that's where she remains today. It's currently at a Service Station on the highway either just north or south of Gympie
