It was World Post Day!

In 1915, Dee Why Post Office was part of Hoppings General Store on Pittwater Road. The store was also the location of Dee Why's first public telephone and there was a horse buggy service that ran all the way down to the beach.
Miss Amy Egan was the first post mistress for Dee Why, with Robert Hopping taking over in 1917.
