In 1982 at The Oval, a rare and funny cricketing moment was born!

England’s Chris Tavare was batting at such a slow pace against India that the crowd lost patience. One cheeky spectator even walked onto the field with a stool—so Tavare could “sit and relax” between his dot balls!

Though his innings tested the fans’ patience, Tavare went on to score a crucial 75 runs for England. That stool incident is still remembered as one of the most humorous and unforgettable episodes in cricket history.

Saw Flo and Eddie at the Sydney Town Hall must have been mid 70’s …fantastic. Split Enz were the support. Their album Illegal, Immoral and Fattening was a classic.
