Led Zeppelin played in Melbourne on 20 February 1972 as part of their only Australasian tour. Performing at the outdoor Kooyong tennis stadium, they delivered a powerful set that was disrupted by a summer rainstorm. After a pause they returned to finish with classics like 'Stairway to Heaven' and 'Whole Lotta Love'.

For those who grew up in inner-city Sydney, you might remember the Priest and the Publican.

Back in the 1980s, a bit of classic Aussie pub banter spilled onto one of Sydney’s busiest roads. Rev. Robert Forsyth, the Anglican minister at St Barnabas’, and Arthur Elliott, owner of the Broadway Hotel, faced off across Broadway, swapping cheeky signboard messages that gave me a chuckle every week.
