The Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace, originally opened as the Cremorne Orpheum on October 3, 1935, is a grand Inter-war Art Deco cinema designed by architect George Newton Kenworthy for the Virgona family.
After closing in 1977, it was rescued and lavishly restored in 1986 by television personality Mike Walsh, reopening as a multi-screen cultural landmark.

July 8 - FLASHBACK to 1979 when COLD CHISEL headlined a huge, free concert that was staged on the HMAS Labuan L128, a Royal Australian Navy vessel moored in the Brisbane river off New Farm Park in Brisbane.
The audience was packed along the shoreline.
