Following Emperor Hirohito's radio address on August 15, 1945, and the formal signing aboard the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945, Allied forces undertook a massive operation to disarm and return over 6 million Japanese military personnel and civilians back to their home islands.

The 4 Blackadder series are one of my favourite comedies of all time but at the end of the last show i still become very emotional watching the cast go to certain death (charging from the trenches) with the final scenes of the destruction of much of a generation because politicians put pride before sense (nothing has changed)
One of the most poignant scenes i have watched.
