Not out of the Minor Premiership race yet?!!!

I know I'm probably dreaming and we obviously have 3 quality sides ahead of us on the ladder but with the injury to Billy Slater (4-6 weeks) are we a chance to snag the minor premiership?

Sure Melbourne will still have Cooper Gronk and Cam Smith but potentially the rest of the top 4 can snag a few a wins while they drop a few in Slater's absence.

Melbourne have Manly, the Bulldogs and the bye in the next few weeks while we've got Roosters, Knights and the bye.

So by round 18 we could be only 2 points behind the Storm (Melbourne 26, Tigers 24) provided we keep winning up to the bye while Melbourne get done by Manly and the Dogs.

As for Brisbane and the Bulldogs I can see the broncos losing to the cows this Friday and hopefully we can get the Dogs in round 18?

We have a tough run home but anything is possible?

Tigers v Storm @Leichhardt r26 for the minor premiership… I'm dreamin'...

I don't know if Slater is the be all and end all of Melbourne. They showed against us that their defence has little to do with the big 3, which is what wins them alot of games.

As for their attack, Cooper Cronk has a great cross-field chip for his wingers, Justin O'Neil is faster than Slater and could slot into the role . They lose alot of attacking strength without Slater, but I don't think it will cost them games.

However, Manly and the Bulldogs can beat them regardless of Slater being in the team.

I picked the Cowboys this week. Anything is possible when they're in Townsville.

Parker ,Thaiday ,Petero and Hannant out

If the Cowbees can't win this one at home they never will

Will all come down to Round 26 and we will have to beat the Storm to get it

Who said we were out of the minor premiership race ?

Every man and his dog thoughtMelbourne had the minor premiership covered.
In all seriousness I never lost faith that we wouldn't make the top 8 but I didn't think we'd have a shot @ 1.

Should have jumped in the Tiges for the minor premiership at the end of round 6… does anyone know what we were paying?

IMO still a long shot but at least it's more realistic then 7 weeks ago!

We could be 8th after this weekend if we don't win on Sunday. I will be happy with a top 4 finish, top 2 would be great though
