Some very eerie things about our Rd 1 clash
The 5th of March is both my Mum and daughters birthday ...Mum is 72 Daughter turns sweet 16
But the really weird thing is this ......My daughter plays rep netball for Gladstone and we have a particular tournament in Rockhampton that they play every year called the Red Rooster Cup ...well for the 3rd time in succession we are matched up against the Titans while at this tournament
2 years ago we won 30-14 ...last year I think we lost 34-26
How weird ..what are the odds

There was something interesting about 1969, there were a few grandfinal winning tiger teams around Australia that year, Richmond being one of them 🤔

I remember as a young boy in 77 watching both the RL and AFL Grand finals finish in a draw.....1st time ever..................on same day.

Just started following the Magpies. Remember Rex running highlights of previous GFs and interjecting to mention Wests winning U23s 7 to 5 over Parramatta during lower grades.
The AFL kicked off first Collingwood v North Melbourne. So I watched a fair bit of that hoping the Magpies would win. From memory finished 77 all about 10 minutes after Saints and Parramatta finished 9 all. Personally, I think that was the best ever GF....and Rex God bless him the best broadcaster .
My parents berated me for flicking the circular channel selector too and fro between codes.
Both got replayed the following Saturday with easy wins to Saints and North.....one team usually doesn't back up.

I got in trouble for that too especially when I broke the round chanel selector.
A few years later we got a better tv, one with push buttons...our remote control was a long piece of wooden dowling rod.

Wasn't planned .....my daughter was due the 8th .....but at 12.05 am 5/3 it all started ...my daughter had it planned the whole time lol ...me barely out of the shower after work ...they both managed that minute I literally got home from work ...labour started lol .....son decided to pull it after 18 holes of golf and a shift at work ....never been so tired by 10.00 am next day lol
